I love watching these test videos. I was expecting it not to go as far up the spike as it did in the animation but it goes maybe 5-10 feet higher too. Still awesome to see such a long vertical drop
@@Megacoasterman yeah it's wild to think about not being able to ride the original again but tbh I don't mind in the slightest- this is just Dragster+. It needed that new launch for the past decade and the spike and triple launch is just such a great bonus that will keep Top Thrill around for a long time. Couldn't ask for anything better here really.
I was surprised to see that too. I was thinking of myself that's kind of a rip-off that they make the spike so high to make it look more intimidating but it actually practically almost goes up to full height
2 things. 1. It reaches a higher point on the vertical spike I was expecting, which is sure to give a huge stomach dropping sensation. 2. That top hat is crested at a decent speed, sure to be massive ejector over that! Which will be incredible!
Did you see the water weight video where it kinda launched off the top hat from nit secure or something... it happens with that not something to worry...lol yeah its gonna be awesome air time.

Best part of the new launch system is that they can basically tell the computer how high to send it backwards
