In the 90s i bought a kit from Ashford, it was a Wee Peggy, I had found an ad in a magazine and decided i wanted a spinning wheel. As said, it arrived in kit form, and I waxed it before putting it together. It was my very first spinning wheel and i loved it. It was then a double drive wheel and could also be used in single drive.
I believe that the Little Peggy was John Rappard’s original design, and the Wee Peggy was based on it. The Wee Peggy design was taken over from Rappard by Ashford. As far as I know it is discontinued now. The distinctive feature of the Wee Peggy is that the front maiden is only half size, cut off at the orifice, while the back maiden was left whole.
I have owned a slighter different version than yours of the wee peggy for the last 6 years. You showed me a couple things i never noticed before about the maidens being adjustable. My front maiden screws up or down, the knob on the front does nothing. Thank you for your video!
As far as I know, the Wee Peggy has never been made with 2 treadles. But the Ashford company currently makes 2 wheels that have 2 treadles-the Kiwi and the Traveller, I believe.
Something for consideration For the hearing impaired (whether anyone cares or not) at the level ya'll choose to record and because no one can read/see your lips, it's exceedingly frustrating trying to hear, let alone see what you're pointing at (the point of view should be with the viewer)

This video was actually made for one specific person, a client of mine, to keep her up to date on the process of her commission, and she is not hearing impaired. The fact that other people have watched it was a complete surprise to me!

As I understand it, the Little Peggy was sold as a finished wheel but Rappard’s Wee Peggy was originally a kit.
