Ta Pinu Shrine: Pilgrimage Seeking Miracles, Gozo, Malta

Seeking Miracles. A pilgrimage to the National Shrine Ta Pinu (Gharb, Gozo). A chapel has existed on this site outside the village of Gharb from 1575. Miracles have been attributed to Our Lady Ta Pinu from 1883 onwards. Numerous testimonials of these miracles (ex-votos) hang in the corridors off the central nave of the basilica which was built (1922-1932) to enclose the original small chapel and its painting of Lady Ta Pinu. Walk with me as I show you the new courtyard with surrounding mosaics, the magnificent inside and outside of the basilica, and finish with a stroll through the testimonial room filled with ex-votos.

I sincerely hope your prayers were answered because Our Lady of Ta Pinu answered mine. You may have seen a framed photograph of a nurse in her uniform…… that was me. I returned with this & a donation, to say thanks back in 1984.
