Fun fact: the writer of this series came up with the idea for the titans in this series when he was working late night at laundromat and a drunk business man stumbled in and was so wasted he couldn't understand anything anyone was saying to him. He said the scene was the creepiest thing he had ever seen in his life and he remembered thinking the only thing that would have made it creepier is if the guy was 15 meters tall and naked. Hence that's why all the titans look and move like they're drunk business men.
I never watched an anime prior to AOT and it absolutely changed my view of what anime can be. It is probably the best work of fiction of any media I’ve consumed. It is absolutely worth the time to watch!

When i was watching this anime Sometimes some scenes to me cringe but when i watched further all the things makes sence , I watched explanation of AOT live action movie & story was not that great , but about 1 years later i watched aot anime and all the story in the live action and anime was completely different, live action movie was made when anime was not completed, live action movie was like simple story telling and very obvious & general, like you said It's like zombies , infection, I was also thinking same and in live action movie this the story line, infection, zombie, immune, all general things But in anime it was all different It has a great story, and plot that are very satisfying and comes from nowhere, hints for plot is foreshadowing lots of times , when i watched this anime, it completely blown my mind, it was very wholesome, This anime has 84 episode, lowest rated episode is 8.5 & 50 episode rating is above 9 That's how great this anime is later when you reached season 4 you can't stop your self from seeing other episode , you would be completely hooked further
While Crunchyroll has the best subs, just a heads up that there are a couple mistakes and a missing scene in season 1 because they are using the TV release, Curious to which was not quite ready yet. If you can find the blu-ray version anywhere I recommend changing up. Thankfully, this problem is only in season 1. Hope you enjoy the ride.
