You can have livescope, tons of gear, hundred fish swimming around your boat (shown on live) and not catch a single fish. Happened to me, many times
They help you find fish if I could afford a fish finder I would have one. But not stopping me from fishing and enjoying it.

Why dont the just start a tournament series that doesn't allow live scope. Personally the big tournaments like the classic shouldn't allow it at all because they are supposedly the best of the best.

What you don’t understand is you could take all the tools away from these dudes and they’d still win aoy against amateurs. They are the best of the best and the tools just make them better. Me or you vs them with scope while they don’t have it n they will still win or finish better than we would through a season
@@masonparis8423 this is what I’ve been saying. They already know what to throw and do on 90% of lakes at certain temps and patterns, all live scope does is confirm their decisions they make by verifying if the fish are interested or not. They can tell if they’re in a pressured area or not. If you did a tournament without live scope then you’d need to not allow guys to fish all day before the tournament starts because then they have an advantage too so I agree with you!
Might as well make a tournament with out electronics. Hey let’s just have tournaments with hook and worms and minnows. Screw the artificial bait let’s go back to the Stone Age. For f sake……
@@masonparis8423that's not actually 100% true. Most the big winners have learned how to utilize ffs/livescope and that's the edge they've had in the last couple or so years. Some have came from no where not winning without a scope and now place and even win tournaments. That's why they call them scopers they use the scope all the time to catch fish without actually doing what's considered fishing by half or more of the pros. Without the scopes many of those guys would fall down the lists and others who are better at actual fishing skills would move up. Some have just gotten to dependant on the scope, some just didn't grow up with techniques but instead they grew up on electronics.
if you cant fish without live scope then you cant fish....

I enjoy catching them without scope rather than using it. I do have it and sometimes I do have to use it, especially in tournament situations. It does come in handy when going after a limit of crappie or white bass especially though

It’s really not debatable. There’s a reason all the tournaments are being won by scoping, not to mention record numbers of century belts being won. It will 100% destroy trout populations in lakes as well as crappie populations. You guys have made a living by going against the grain and speaking your minds, you know it’s not good for the sport. Take a side guys.

9:04 I don’t get why people don’t like drum. I love bass fishing, it’s what I do. Drum are a welcome bycatch in my book though. They get large and can eat bottom baits like jigs and that doesn’t bother me. I think they are a fun native species. Idk

Not really true fishing if you ask me. It's too easy now and that takes all the work out of it and long hours finding a bite. More rewarding to do it all on your own. Kinda like game hunting on an enclosed fenced in piece of land..
I love the changes the Googans have been doing. I wish the best for the old members but I felt like the over hyped/fake energy and repeats of the over ridiculous challenges were beyond stale. This is a nice, fresh change that I’m really enjoying.

Best replacement for livescope is to have a kayak or boat to get off the bank. Don't mind me, I use livescope on the fishing pier. 😈🤣

I personally think between the barrier to entry then the fact that it looks like you're playing a video game on a boat rather then enjoying the hunt to me seems ridiculous. I seen some kids on a boat this weekend in same cove as me and that's all they did was stare at the screen while they reeled in. Is that what fishing is to us? To me its a tradition and it's the thrill of the hunt. It's the I see a high percentage area let's check it and find out with my lure rather then oh nothing there no reason to cast.

Scoping of any kind should not be allowed in tournaments. They're okay if you want to get kids interested in fishing, but they should learn to read the water (more important). Tournaments should be won by knowing what bait/lure to use. Like Bill Dance, Roland Martin, Hank Parker, Villis Dowden, etc.
I’ve never livescoped before but it for sure sounds like fun to fish with! Maybe not every time though.

Randy has been right all along and assholes the likes of Milliken who RELY on FFS and Livescope will now have to show they are real "Professional" bass fisherman. Bass fishing is an intricate artform and true professionals should know how to read water to know what lies beneath the surface of the water and FEEL where to cast, when, and with what, PERIOD!
FFS & LS make it so it can literally be called Catching instead of fishing. It's great if you're going out just to fish for yourself, but when someone is fishing professionally for money, they should never be allowed to rely electronics to find moans for them.

Like someone’s mentioned they should allow ffs in practice but tourney days no ffs. That way if you wanna go find them and mark them do it but go back and catch them in true form. Watching them chase and eat your lure is no different than aquarium fishing at bass pro let’s be real
To me this is what i feel :
Live scope does have its advantages and maybe in tournaments practice days live scope as much as you want but on tournament day no live scope use what you learned and take it from there....
I dont know i only bank fish due to cost of a boat and in South africa you are pretty limited on to bank fishing but i mean you do you fish the way you want to ......
Ok googen if you did not use the scope and catch anything that would prove little. If you on day one used scope then go out day two without. It would prove more.
Lfg. Question: if you're fishing in a tournament with ffs, why would you want a coangler? Since you're with the aimbot what's the insensitive for the coangler. Or insensitive for you to take a coangler when you can just aimbot all the fish.
The answer is easy you either learn to adapt or you get left behind. Live scope yes allows you to see fish but doesn't make them bite.
Try not having live scope a boat or kayak and see how hard it is to catch fish
Yes definitely live scope is advantage like for instance rackly fishing for crappie he can look down on the crappie and drop the bait right on their head in deep water and be able to pick and choose between a large and small fish you can see everything on live scope sure you can see fish in the shallow and cast to them but in deep water with live scope you can see your bait go down on the fish of your choice and bug it over and over till it bites and it takes all skill out of it and it's basically a way for people that have money and no skill to fish or people that are lazy

Livescope can be nice to have for recreational fishing. Maybe you don’t have a ton of time and just want to be on some fish - I get that, but for me atleast, it takes away from the surprise and “hope” lol. But tech like this has NO place in the tournament scene.
It takes away the real experience of fishing. It’s like going hunting knowing where the hunt it’s at all time

One of my favorite bass fishing soft plastics is the bandito bug. The only complaint is when I set the hook, the top of the bait (near the line) just splits. It’s been costing me a good amount of money and i’m wondering if it’s happening to anyone else. Does anyone else have this problem?
It happens I get 2 3ish fish before I have to switch. Nuke punch definitely last longer.

It isn’t fair and never will be fair end of story no ifa ands or buts about it . Not only do you have the freaking boat to take the live scope to see where the fish are whever the hell they are and you go and catch them there’s no if ands or about that . If you know fishing by now if fish are there they will eat it’s just matching the hatch . But guess what it’s not the same for people who don’t own a 20k+ boat some people go out all day moving from spot to spot just to get a freaking nibble in done with the live scope argument there is no argument it’s truly cheating …

Been a fan of Jon and AP since NSF2. The going back to the bedding bass for the catch was great video. Let's be honest. I've learned from the Googan Squad about stressed "fisheries" and the death toll of bass in tournament fishing. There can be a balance. I don't have all the answers. I'm not a small g googan bass fisherman. Why rip lips on pregnant females as the ultimate goal? These questions should be asked, acknowledged and moved forward on. Like forward facing sonar or not. Conservationism used to be the goal. Let's not let technology totally remove us from what is and always will be a fun sport and a way of supplying food. Btw, don't throw live fish in the bottom of a jon boat. Dispatch them first. Doesn't cost a penny and they eat just as good. Cheers.
It is becoming too easy to hunt and fish to be honest and it is hurting the lakes and land. I’m 37 so I’m old enough to remember when I first got out in the woods and on the lakes before smart phones were a thing and I have very clearly with my own two eyes watched how the quality of the outdoors has taken a nose dive since technology has put the world at everything at everyone’s finger tips with minimal sacrifice. Not sure anyone will stop using any of it but it’s definitely hurt the outdoor recreation sport. I know a lot of the really young guys may not see it that way because your perspective is limited. Just wait another 20 years if things don’t change and let’s have this conversation again. At some point, we need to wise up and make better decisions.

Live scopes don't help you or else googans would be catching 10lbers regularly living in Texas with a massive state record largie. You'd think 8-10lbers especially pre spawn would be frequent if you fished for a living . Especially with all their fancy boats and fancy googan baits. The reality everyone needs to know pre spawn bass are easy to find and are extra aggressive especially in key water temps. I can respect Jon b cause he keeps the origins . But you can catch 5lb bass on 2 dollar football jigs with a 20 dollar Walmart pole it's all about pressure and drag

What would happen if something like livescope would exist in hunting? Just walk or ride around on a deer lease with some sort of drone thermal camera flying around and just track where these bucks are then bam! Technology is great, however, are there some things where this should be left out of?
They have deer farms with huge racked deer where they already do this. CWD is rampant in those states.
yeah like food plots and trail cameras everywhere 😂 I'm just saying people are already using alot of things and know if deer are around. Most people that go hunting don't go into the woods blind. My dad could tell you how many bucks are on his property year round.

I'm okay with it in pro fishing. They fish lakes big enough where it shouldn't be that much of factor plus most guys on the tour should/would be able to afford it... I'm against it in local fishing club tournaments though. It hurts the growth of bass fishing in that sense.

In my opinion, livescoop helps you find the fish, but you still have to find the fish that want to bite your bate, so dose it really help. I say yes and no
I agree 100% I have livescope and still catch most of my fish not using it. I find it distracts me a lot and gets me casting at bass that don’t want to eat or fish that aren’t even bass 😂
Bro if it helps you find fish then the more you can find then the more likely you are to find a big bass. All a numbers game of how many fish you can find but that also means that you have better odds of that big one in the school biting your bait. Techniques can change based on the structure or area of lake you are fishing so it’s a Yes,Yes. Absolutely helps.

Livescope, I don't think effects bass fishing but fish people keep it could become a problem. It just has to get cheap enough more people have it and i could see it hurting crappie or fish people eat. I'm sure really smart people are studying this every year and can adjust things to help the fish.
If someone is smart they could also use it to gauge fish populations in ponds and could tell if your overfishing and give em time to gain numbers
