    I was born and raised at WDW. The woke stuff is annoying, but nowhere NEAR as annoying as them ruining all the classic rides in favour of cramming in every ip they think they can squeeze a dollar out of, regardless of how much it ruins the overall feel of the park.

      DfbGuide asked the audience of the channel what ride they wanted replaced next, and someone suggested they take down the Little Mermaid one and build the Beauty and the Beast dark ride there instead.

      @mjohnsen8606 8 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah. I can see some overlap happening. But my guess is due to the cost of attending these parks that overlap is going to be small. Plus if most people go to Florida for Epic that's who is going to get most of the money.

    • @vissermatt1058

      @@mjohnsen8606 there is a reason why street malls work, why malls USED to work. if the price point isnt horrible, location is king. i think disney doesnt understand how their brand has warped recently. also... the rides matter, and they are all VERY OLD. so people like the brand less and the rides belong in the 90s. they are going to be fine until they fall off a cliff

    Is it really that crazy of a statement? There ARE going to be people who are going to make a trip specifically *for* Epic Universe but hit up Disney on the side, who would not have went to Orlando solely for a Disney vacation. It’ll definitely increase their attendance, whether it’s by a meaningful amount is the real question.

      I guess it will depend on how far & wide their bad reputation has spread. They've already been voted as the worst vacation ripoff & their DEI stance is losing them $$ at the box office. Parents who are paying attention no longer automatically trust them. When the cascade happens, it will happen fast if they don't course correct.

    The bottom line for people is just that...the bottom line. Disney has been voted one of the biggest rip-offs in the tourism industry by regular people. With the ridiculous prices of all Lightning Lanes, the terrible DAS pass policy and the alienation of families, people are going to make the decision to go to one or the other. Guess who their going to pick? Duh, no brainer... Universal and Epic Universe. There is still a sizable amount of people that in the past chose Disney over Universal that are not going to make that mistake again.

    I love that they’re basically acquainting epic universes opening to that of when islands of adventure opened up back in 1999… There are many differences though… For instance, universal only had one park at that time so they weren’t really a destination. They were just a theme park to visit. Secondly, Universal did a terrible job of marketing islands of adventure… They basically called the whole resort, universal escape, and that just confused everybody… People didn’t realize there were too few parts out. Thirdly, had other weapons in its arsenal that it was using to combat islands of adventures opening… Rock and roller coaster Hollywood Studios, and of course the previous year they had opened an entirely brand new theme park in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. What does Disney have to show for 2025? Doesn’t appear to be anything… And all these projects that they said our shovel ready aren’t even really moving right now… Which gives universal a chance to really blow Disney out of the water again in 2026

    I do get where he’s coming from: people who were not planning on taking a trip to Disney World will now be spending a day or two there on their week trip to Universal Studios. So yes, it will most likely give them a bump, but not compared to the revenue that Universal Studios will be seeing.

  • @wjm-x9v
    @wjm-x9v 19 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +3

    For Whom the Bell Tolls, It tolls for thee, Disney. May I repeat myself, the final nail in Disney's coffin will be Universal's Epic Universe. Epic will be an amusement park for the 21st century and younger people will see it and love it! What person under the age of 40 cares about Snow White, Peter Pan, Winnie-the-Pooh, Dumbo, Small World and yes I will say it "Mickey Mouse" as compared to Harry Potter, Mario, Wicked, and Dark Universe. Epic is not your grandfather's theme park and younger people will flock to it, leaving Disney in the dust. Tron, Marvel, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and Tiana's Bayou Adventure were lame attempts at updating their parks and it has failed miserably. I have already stated in the past about Disney's outrageous price point and won't bore you with that reason. If I were a betting man, I place everything I had on Universal winning this fight and sending Disney into permanent retirement.

    I think there's some validity to this ... at first. Bundles and travel deals will sell whatever they can bundle ... but Universal Epic will take over once they have more hotels nearby and, once travel planners and families have to buy both sets of tickets, it won't be 50/50, it will be 60/40, then 65/30, then 75/25 and so on as bundle/pricing comes out to Hotels and travel agents.
    Money talks. So do hotel prices. food prices. 3-4 days at a theme park is a massive deal. Bundles and deals will tell the story for Disney.So will traffic and parking.
    People will make longer trips but 2 days at Disney and 3 days at Epic will likely take over, since there will be no money left after spending $50 on food at Disney and $20 at Epic.

    Universal is knocking it out of the park. The last time that we went to Orlando, we only went to the Universal properties. Prior to that we would split time between Disney and Universal. All of the new and exciting rides were happening at Universal, and the places that we just had to visit again were there also. Disney has had nothing new of note, and they have priced themselves out of the market for the nostalgia that they do have.

    Disney may have an increase in bookings for next summer as stated by their CFO but what they didn't say was for how many days (Or at least I don't remember seeing that). Sure they could have an increase in bookings, but only for 1-2 days per family which for them is still far worse for them as it's usually 4-5 days if this is the case. They're still losing in the end and they're just spinning numbers to make it not sound as bad.

    Sure Disney might get a few wins next year with Zootopia 2 (depending on how good it is), Avatar 3: The Day The Fire Nation Attacked and maybe Lilo and Stitch Live Action. But in terms of the theme parks, they are going to crash and burn likely.

      All three of those films should break a billion, I also feel like Freakier Friday should be low budget enough that it will be profitable. But Fantastic Four is kind of like Mufasa, there is online discourse against it but that does not necessarily means folks won't show up at the theater.
      I will say though a light show tribute to Zootopia makes more sense than A Bug's Life.
      Also Zootopia should have a new Gazelle song. Meaning only that and Snow White have new songs, while in 2024 there was Moana 2, Mufasa, and Descendants: The Rise of Red.

    The numbers are clear. AECOM published most recently in August. Looking at the total Florida footprint for Disney the total attendance is down from pre-pandemic. In 2019 Disney had a gate of 65M, in 2020 it was 21M, in 2021it was 39M, in 2022 it was 51M and in 2023 it was 52M. All indications are that 2024 summer and autumn were decreases year over year, but they were still 19% behind the 2019 customer base last year. Price increases are the band aid. Gaining the lost customers would be a 20% increase in revenue immediately, a small price increase over the past 5 years would essentially be a money printing business. But alas, they got rid of too many customers who have not returned, and they waste the potential expansion of each of their existing 4 gates (not reskins or refurbs, expansion).

    To be honest, I would of agree with Disney if this happened years ago, but for now I would say to Disney that if you are at the point where you are to big to fail then you would obviously fail. Sure, it could help go over to Orlando but popularity the creators and audience has to be on the same page. Ever since Star Wars the Last Jedi or the firing of Gina Carano with something that seems innocent with a picture not so innocent, Disney has lots touch of they really are. Sure, it’s important for the imagination in the world to make new things, but there are times when to realize are they actually seeing it as a job or are they seeing it as a safe space for creative thinking? They used to be the second thing and for now it’s basically a job and that shows in media, theme parks, and products. I mean look at Splash Mountain I mean Tiana’s Bayou Adventure I mean Tiana’s Dark Ride Show that Happens to be on the Water Trying to be a Gentle Thriller, I mean if they actually did care for that the critters would be more lifelike an not something that you can see in a typical dark ride with limited movement. The characters even though I do respect them trying something new, the thing is not everybody is going to care about Princess and the Frog which makes it harder to connect with new ideas when the ideas that were already made nothing was wrong with them. Love can get lost when you make something heartless but it can be found by discovering why it’s heartless. All they need to do is Dig a Little Dipper so people would have a wonderful day watch Disney media and/or riding attractions.

    You need new not rotated mangement. American industry must start breaking up Wall Street commitments.
    The quarterly earnings calls publicity need to be tamped down.
    Clearest example was found with Clinton administration promoting the alllowance of interstate banking. With that came consolidation of banks with management taking early retirement. But those that stayed push the limits. Which then saw more consolidation based on failed banks.

    I smile when I think of what Epic will do to Disney because I am appalled at the way Disney has gone. Good bye woke Disney your box is ready and May 2025 you will be put in the nails driven down and it will be kicked into the hole and dirt tossed in.
    I have enjoyed Universal instead of Disney for several years and intend on continuing enjoying it even more. They get my money and time not Disney.
    I can’t wait for Epic it will be Epic (pun intended)!!!
    We are cruiser and Disney will never be appealing to the largest group of cruisers. It has lots of kids and lots of kid activities. They have put in adult areas and some things to do but let’s face it how many couples that don’t have kids with them want to see Mickey & Minny & the group and hear screaming kids.
    The other problem is they are ridiculously priced.
    We can do a seven day Royal Caribbean cruise 4 ports, cabin with an ocean balcony for the price of an inside three to four night Disney. Also most Royal Caribbean cruises have an actual broadway show onboard along with loads of other entertainment and a bunch of included places to eat.

    It’s better than what Disney is offering but then I don’t like when I’m with my glon cat in universal soul that’ll be like on my stuffed cat glon cat universal Disney let me walk around my start cat glon doll from China so I have more freedom in Disney’s then universal so they won’t let me walk around my stock cat glon in the Nintendo section so I get more freedom at Disney to walk around my stuff cat glon doll Love you guys. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

    One problem with Universal's existing parks is that they have too many attractions that cause motion sickness.

    There’s some possible truth to this… the amount of people coming to EPIC UNIVERSE, could possibly attend Disney World on other days around going to Epic Universe. I’m not sure and wouldn’t bank on it, but there’s a slight possibility that it may be true. To automatically assume that it will or will not, is both naive and unrealistic. So both this channel and Disney both shouldn’t assume it will be worse or better until after the fact. Saying that Disney has turned off “Half” of American 🇺🇸 people is 100% incorrect. Of someone is part of the “hall” of America that you are talking about, I disagree with you 100%! Not to mention most of the people in my life does not agree with you #DisneyHaters. I do think some of the Disney heads are naive what’s going on. But not even close to what you people are talking about. I’m watching your videos less and less because I’m tired of all the Disney Hate videos. Only time will tell!
