I'm so pleased you got her looking her best. And your friend will be pleased w the work you did, too. Fantastic. So much satisfaction w reinvigorating an abandoned, but beautiful, car.
Looks fantastic. This is a car that won't impress anyone unless they're a car geek who recognises the fact Lancia never sold these in the UK and it's basically an Italian E Class/5 Series rival. I agree the suede interior is a lovely thing. Could you very gingerly run a razor over it to remove the bobbling? Excellent job and so much car for so little money.
That's the modern version of the Thema I guess? I'm a few years older than you, so Themas were readily available when I was in my car buying prime. Fabulous cars, lovely level of trim and the 16v Turbos were bloody quick. The seats in the Thesis look like Alcantara, very similar to the ones in my Themas.
@@ChopsGarage Hard to find these days. Had mine in late 90's where you could pick them up for buttons. Picked a last of line '93 Series 3 16v Turbo VIS in 2002 for £600. Not many people knew but they were quicker than a 8.32
I must admit it, I wasn't convinced when you originally showed the car and thought it looked like a dog but as soon as you polished it then I changed my opinion and now love the car....even though it isn't automatic.
Just a tip, I've only learnt it the last year watching youTube videos . Avoid using a sponge and use microfiber wash mitts for washing cars as sponges can cause more swirl Mark's etc. Its helped me with my car! Keep up the good work 😊
Hey James. New subscriber here. Working my way through your videos and loving them. Don't get the "ugly car" title. Front end of the Lancia is gorgeous, to me anyhow.
I actually had one of these cars. My dad bought it, he loved it, however morning after a friend's birthday party and huge win at the races, he was done at 11am the next morning for drunk driving. I actually loved it. Bit big for someone young but suited my work needs. Sold it and bought an RS Cosworth
does anyone have an idea how do you find suspension components fo these. Do new parts exist at all, what are the prices, Would wishbones or shock absorbers from an Alfa 166 for example fit?

Reminds me of the front of old rovers. I had one of these and it was such an amazing car to drive. Have owned BMWs and I have a BMW x5 for my winter and long distance vehicle....bmws don't come close to the fun element of driving one of these.

This interior is so beautiful and high quality... Nice car, Lancia made her before 20 years, it's classic future model...
Wish I could of kept it
This is a prime example of why it’s important to pronounce your ‘th’s’ properly. So glad you did.

Good to know!
You could use a lint remover to heal the seats. I have used it on alcantara and it makes it look fresh :)
