one thing that is good about aeronautica is that you can fly at 32 thousand feet for 20-30 minutes or an hour and the devs put so much work into the scenery

Both, but also PTFS appeals to a much younger playerbase than Aeronautica. Obviously with that said there are way more kids/teens on Roblox than teens/young adults
@@ilikecrawfish21 mobile support already exists, but the game is not made for it. Most mobile devices will crash at big airports, and there is no way to avoid that without removing most details off the map.
I would also like to add that Aeronautica has much more and better sounds than PTFS. PTFS only has GPWS and Engine sounds while Aeronautica has Airport, Nature, Waves, and Wind sounds. Adding on to the already long list of differences of quality between PTFS and Aeronautica

PTFS was also one of the first RoAviation games I played, as well as Dynamic Flight Simulator and Scallbob22's Flight Simulator (SFS). They're quite old now, and it really shows when you compare them to modern flight simulators like Project Flight and, of course, Aeronautica, which is by far the best.
in the physics you failed to mention that aeronautica has overspeed mechanism were you engins will explode and that their is a crash animation, if you hit the ground at the right speed, you can also do sully like water landing and they are somewhat realistic. but great video as allways, aeronautica is defenetly better for me.
one cool feature ptfs has that aero doesn't have is landing gear tilt. when landing if I want to *butter*, its kinda hard to tell if I buttered or not. I get that there are over 250 planes but like the 767s (With advanced engine swapping and stuff) , they can add a cool feature to newer planes or something.
they are already remodeling and adding advanced liveries to new aircraft, advanced customization, some even get flaps like the new B-52H remodel coming out soon. Adding gear tiliting would take a lot of time to animate for a change that doesnt really affect gameplay much
@@AeronauticableI get that, but part of me reckons it'll happen eventually, I remember before aeronautica got advanced liveries the Devs said they were never going to add them but look where we are now.
Aeronautica is maybe better, but PTFS stays for me the iconic Roblox flight simulator. I don’t really like realistic Roblox flight simulators. If I want realistic then I just play MFS2020
aeronautica isnt that realistic. there are literally flying cow cubes and tanks, you can do barrel rolls with any plane, etc. also compared to MFS and PTFS aeronautica has a progression system
I believe that Areonautica takes the top spot because of its huge variety of planes and customisation and lack of p2w, however in PTFS you can get out of the plane and do ground crew and stuff. PTFS is better in that aspect, but the plane physics are garbage.
In PTFS, there is a lot of gamepasses, I think the developers prioritize profitability, while in Aeronautica, it prioritizes accessibility, so Aeronautica is like an open-source ROBLOX experience.
Honestly, I think it's a bit unfair comparing the two because they both are a very different style of game developed in very different manners. However, I think you made a very nice video and I agree with what you've said.
@@masonsmainlineroblox PTFS: Arcade like and blocky, has an semi realistic and unrealistic approach. No crash physics Aeronautica: More realistic approach and has crash physics (like overspeed for example,) less blocky you: *_i see no difference here_*
Aeronautica: Better gameplay loop and has actual progression Better airport diversity Better vehicle diversity Better map More things to do in game PTFS: Better taxiing system (I cry) Better particles (landing gear touchdown smoke, wingtip vapor trails) Cockpits. Cabin seats. Personally I prefer Aeronautica, but it would be insane if PTFS' pros were adopted into Aeronautica. There would be no stopping aero from being the #1 roaviation game.
Aeronautica: The map is expanding every update, PTFS: its map are stagnant. I think in the next update, Aeronautica will expand with Singapore airport, also, Kyokkou can be expanded to include The Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Plus, its devs are also working on an exciting new continent, which is like a larger version of Norman Island, and it will include Dubai, too.
Time to dunk on PTFS, I can’t believe I used to play this game. The models. Even the remodeled planes suck. I mean the fighters are decent but they are still blocky. Even the old Fokker 100 model looks better than most of the models in PTFS. Second of all, they privated their development game, for the reason, “muahahaha it’s a secret”. Does the secret take 4 months to develop? Speaking of updates, they are so inconsistent! Sometimes every month, and sometimes every year. Also the terrain. Like, the buildings are decent but they use too many decals and the islands are way too big for the little amount of airports they have. Like, have a big continent for overland long haul flights. And then the atc… due to this being a simple game, atc is full of 8 year olds who bought the gamepass going, “Hardjet 3844 cler fro takoff from runway” meanwhile they are in the middle of a flight. Then again that also does happen in aeronautica but it’s way more common in PTFS. Also for the amount of planes in the game, that many gamepass planes? You have a Walrus, SR-71, F-22, F-35, F-16, A380, and for the group vehicles, a Concorde (in my opinion very well modeled and animated) a P-38 (why group?) and a very badly modeled F-4. And like you said, physics go brrrr
I feel like your arguments are valid but you’re also being a little harsh on PTFS. PTFS is made by a smaller dev team who are simply trying to make a non-realistic arcade style simulator. Aeronáutica is a tycoon style game that’s more about the grind. Fun factor is huge in PTFS because you can fly with your friends and do whatever whereas in Aeronáutica it’s a lot different. Also each dev team uses different tools, different software, etc. I would play aeronáutica sólo just to fly, but if I want to play with people PTFS is the clear winner. I think a much more fair comparison would be two smaller games such as aeronáutica and something maybe like Flightline. PTFS’ community is much bigger and it’s more popular in due to the part that it’s older and much less grindy but something like flightline could turn out interesting!
The point was to compare both games, Yes PTFS is older but that doesn’t justify a crappy model or 1/4 of the vehicles being paid access. Aeronautica is an economy game, not a tycoon.
@@Aeronauticable Yeah, that’s true, but like I said I feel like a more fair comparison would be with something like flightline. PTFS does not try to be realistic while Aeronáutica is fully centered around that. They both succeed in what they want to achieve, but for realism Aeronáutica takes the cake. I think an aeronáutica/flightline comparison could be pretty good since they’re both centered around realism
@@Aeronauticable man i totally agree, i fucking spent 1000 robux in PTFS, specially the usless ATC tower, and now I feel like I want to kill my self because of spending those robux
The PTFS players will probably fume at this but who cares ? Atleast your giving honest opinion and showing the real potential of the game, Now keep up the good work 👍
Aeronatuica has a bigger map and you can travel far distances for much more cinematic views ptfs, map is short you can easily cross it in about a few minute in aeronatuica it takes hours to cross the whole map and fuel burns more
This is a heavily unfair competition, and that is because the dev team of PTFS is 3 people maximum, they only have one builder which makes the aircraft and map all by himself. Not trying to rage, just proving a point.
i used to play PTFS all the time because i though it was the superior simulator. then i discovered PF and Flightline and then aeronautica. i LOVE aeronautica because you don't have to use robux for anything, it's all grind! so you can't have that rich kid that'll flex there airplanes that they "grinded" hours for. and aeronautica having a trading system is amazing! the devs are coming up with even more content for the game and with the hundreds of aircraft's, i don't think anyone's gonna get bored of playing aero
now don't get me wrong, i really like aeronautica but there are some stuff in this video i disagree with, like how aeronautica wins the cockpit quality even though most of the planes don't have a cockpit and every plane in ptfs has adleast something to fill the interior, idk man i made a poll on my channel and an overwhelming amount of people voted for ptfs
PTFS has superior physics IMO, but Aeronautica has the best grind and process, makes game more enjoyable. So I guess PTFS is like a game that is just flying and no grind.
Dude what? Aeronautica’s physics are so much better. In PTFS you can climb at a 45 degree angle and GAIN airspeed. The only reason you like PTFS’s physics is because they are more forgiving.
Play Aeronautica for ever-expanding map, because every year, an major update will occur, this is thanks to Aeronautica's team of over tens of developers.
You forgot to talk about scenery, Ptfs is just basic stuff. Rarely gets new airports While aeronautica, Has alot of shit. You can do stuff from landing in the arctic, To the kai tak heart attack, And since there are so many, You dont really feel bored of them. Also the landing physics are- Not bad...
The knobs are long because PTFS is downscaled. They made the world itself half the size so that double the stuff could fit. For example if you go to the oil rig the trusses are oversized.
@@Nicalobocinator it's not really that, because i've already played games where you have to be careful with finances and stuff, but I really dislike having to worry about simething in the game, and risk running out of money

First of you should put cockpit and plane models in 1 section second of in ptfs they are gamepass planes but atleast people can use every free plane right when they join also 81 aircraft isnt a small amount
First off, Nope. Cockpits and the exterior model are separate. and secondly, Sure you can use the free aircraft all at once, but my point was a quarter of the planes in the game are paid access and not unlockable at all. Plus, compared to the over 500 planes Aeronautica has at this point yeah... PTFS has a small number of aircraft. Especially as a F2P player.
PTFS has been continuously updated throughout its existence. All I am saying is that the average Aeronautica model is superior to the average PTFS model.
@@Aeronauticable you were right when you said the community is going to get defensive when you pointed out the flaws for pilot training sim, for a fact it doesn't train you for any piloting.
@@iLoveLegoPlane Every time when PTFS players loses a fight, they will say how less the devs are, how hard the modelings are blah blah, heard this millions times
So I played aeronautica briefly(I'm a PTFS player) and I still think I like PTFS more. However, I will admit that Aero seems more thought out. My biggest conclusion, though, is that PTFS is a flying game while Aeronautica is a plane game. In PTFS, you have options to have unlimited fuel, no winds at all, and play it like an arcade game. You also have access to (almost) every plane as soon as you join, letting you have more ways to play immediately. meanwhile Aeronautica has progression when you buy planes, along with licenses for them. I dunno. Ptfs is just more casual and I like it that way.
I mean, PTFS is made by 2 developers and try to stay consistent with the game, not a PTFS defender. Aeronautica is still better but the amount of devs developing and trying to stay consistent is pretty impressive. I mean, the devs try hard to constantly update the game. Over all Aeronautica is better, but PTFS is still impressive for 2 developers (counting CoderQwerty, 3 developers. Opinon is respected though.
We need more points, so I'll continue your list and video with a comment: 1. Destruction: In ptfs the planes have no destruction, however only destruction is water. In aeronautica you can get killed by overspeed, ramming something and water too, however PTFS did the water destruction better. + 0.5 points for PTFS for water +1 Point to Aeronautica for destruction overall. (Now its 0.5 of PTFS vs 6 of Aeronautica) 2. Aeronautica has liveries which are custom made, you can even make your own, for what it receives 1 point, and PTFS has only owner-made ones. +1 point for aeronautica for customization and liveries. 3. RP availability. In PTFS you can do RP with interior and passengers, while in aeronautica you can only RP interceptions (better than in PTFS), and in aeronautica there are weapons, unlike PTFS. +1 point per each. (Now its 1.5 of PTFS vs 8 of aeronautica) 4. Availability. In Aeronautica there's a license system, grinding system and stuff, however in PTFS you can start with any plane and fly. In Aeronautica, you can be an ATC Dispatcher for free, however in PTFS its somewhere 100 robux'ish. In Aeronautica, the ATC is really well doing, and ATC experience there is better than in PTFS. Aeronautica +2 PTFS +1 (Now its 2.5 of PTFS vs 10 of aeronautica)
Although PTFS losses out on most things the ghost of Neo Warfare X still haunt me in aeronautica and dealing with randomly stopped aircraft when I don’t want to means a point to PTFS
@@Aeronauticable uh huh, sure, have you ever seen an aircraft launch in to the air at 100 knots while taxiing to a runway? no? well that’s not something you would see in ptfs either
@@witherplayzzwitherfacts3936 and alao flightline is a horrible game in general. the in-flight plane phsyics are an absoloute attrodity, i literally cant control the plsne every time i do a relatively mild turn the plane takes 3 sedonds to stabilise. also the autopilot is a convoluted mess, you need a map (that isnt in the game) with waypoints to set it up. i wouldnt reccomend this game on my worst enemy.
aeronautica is the game you go for a realistic experience, which you can have in ptfs, but it lacks the physics, details, and variety of airports/planes. ptfs is for users who just wanna fly, without worrying about realism
@@Aeronauticable they have donations and merch so quite a few people donate for a good game like aero, no need to put 20 gamepasses for nearly every aircraft/feature
I would disagree, actually. While PTFS can be easily learned by the average user, Aeronautica is also very easy to learn. Quite frankly I think the only reason Aeronautica is not as popular is because it isnt as advertised.
@@Aeronauticable aeronautica actually has a few ads, just isnt as popular as a lot more youtubers do videos on PTFS, and a lot of younger people play it due to easy physics and no grind etc
@@Aeronauticable I think the main reason why aeronautica is less popular is the progression system, some people dont want to spend 839282 flying in ultralight to get cessna. I honestly like the progression system, but I understand people who despise it.
@@Aeronauticable But the average Roblox user only spends like 30 minutes to 1 hour on Roblox. If I were them, I wouldn't spend the time in between supper and homework just to take a 20 minute flight and then do it again and again.
first thing to keep in mind (specially for model detail): ptfs is full size, aeronautica has very small planes hence why you can run that many detailed models and that big of a map in a potato PC, also the physics in aeronautica are wack because of the small size of the planes, still loving aeronautico tho
Nautica had some "advanced stuffs" but ptfs is the classics so my opinions on games are positive and I'm not saying one is better, both games are made for one genre, aviation so yeah The only thing that makes Nautica stands out is it's not monetized, basically it encourages you to work hard Ptfs is a sandbox aviation game but that has a cost of monetization
Aeronautica is much better for one main (and personal reason), it's grind, sure "oooOooOoo grind boring Ptfs has planes that I can already use" but... think about it... it's much more rewarding when you EARN the plane (IE grind hours to get it) then just get it free, also a quarter of the planes in Ptfs are game passes, aeronautica is 100% free
I went from PTFS to aeronautica since PTFS doesn't have more and my fav planes and also many planes are for money and some are free. I was expecting like u farm and get money for planes than have to buy woth money and it free.
Alternative title : aeronautica youtuber dunks on PTFS for 7 minutes. I don't even disagree, I really prefer Aero, but sometimes it just feels like you (more or less intentionally) omit details that go in favor of PTFS. Like for example, almost all aircraft in PTFS have full interiors/cockpits. While cockpits are more detailed in Aeronautica, only a few dozens out of the 400+ planes have them.
While you are correct about the interiors, on PTFS aircraft, 90% of them are either extremely outdated, or straight up terrible. A bunch of seats in a row inside of a mesh isn't a cabin.
But how can you compare a sandbox with a grind game PTFS is a funny sandbox and aeronautica is for players that like to grind the money you shouldnt compare
if you dont need it dont pay for it easy and here in that grind game you dont spend money you spend your precious time a lot and in the ptfs u just hop and dont lie to me you wont be using a380 or an-225 alot and theres only one paid airliner i guess the only gamepass that you should buy is learjet bc its so good seats and paid=more quality so yk it kinda sucks that many military planes are paid but you know life is life if you really like to enjoy the game without needing to constant refuel and making stops PTFS is for you but if u want to waste the 10hrs to get the an225 you can no problem at all @@justaguy3403
In ptfs the fuel burns slower the aircraft go at ridiculously speeds and can fly in ridiculous ways like vertical in a 747 or crash without dying aeronatuica is way more realistic as you fly vertical your plane stalls and if you crash you explode and a fire starts your plane can have failures
the thing is you gotta take into account the scale of aeronautica and PTFS, PTFS has a 1:1 roblox scale while aeronautica has around a 1:20-1:60 scale, therefor the maps in aeronautica can be bigger without lagging out the entire game
and that reply tells us that this guy doesn’t care about Ptfs in my opinion Ptfs is still innocent and fine and just because the performance is good doesn’t mean the whole thing is set that aeronautica wins
I get it that it’s your opinion but you came up with the categories that aeronautica would most likely win than ptfs so it’s kind of unfair in 1 way than another Edit: You’re also favoring aeronautica than Ptfs and just because your channel is primarily focused on aeronautica and just because it is that was doesn’t mean you have to say everything bad for other simulators. And I tried to “cope” but your 5-0 point scale made it so hard. No hate ig Edit 2: it’s hard to compare these 2 because the quality is almost the same in a few ways and you HAVE and I mean it to give credit to Ptfs because it really was the start of aviation in Roblox and you also have to cope with models and do this vid again now or later because this is outdated as heck. No hate ig for the 2nd time Suggestion: compare aeronautica to project flight if your that worried about quality than gameplay like dam and if you don’t do it then we all can say you favor this sim more than anything in the world
I think the only problem with Aeronautica is the grinding. There's sometimds you can't just spend 4 hours or more to afford a good plane plus the licenses. In PTFS you play more casual and there are specialized RP servers Another important thing is that in PTFS there's only one airplane modeler while in Aeronautica they're more and updates i dont think they're weekly like ptfs. But i think Aeronautica is a good game, just isn't to funny to spend 5 hours grinding
Bro, No offense, but, give PTFS some points will ya? Its pretty much the OG Roblox flight simulator, and all these comments are from Aeronautica fans who probably transferred from MFS or some other High quality flight sim. PTFS is way different from Aeronautica, they have different approaches to making games and stuff, and you just go over Aeronauticas advantages. (No offense)

Just dont say no gear tilt, flaps are not important Its still, it made the flight sim looks more relastics And i know that, Aeronautica aircraft just made by block
While both gear tilt and flaps would be amazing eye candy, they do not affect the overall physics quality of the game, which beats PTFS. Aeronautica’s models are also made in Blender, which is a pretty decent 3D modeling software. The current crew of developers are all very talented people and can create some phenomenal models.
@@alderlake12thThe touchdown physics in both games aren’t incredible. Both have no landing gear suspension. HOWEVER the overall physics of Aeronautica are superior to PTFS. And no, the models in Aeronautica are not made with blocks, Roblox Studio, or parts in game. They are modeled in a very capable 3D model creation software, named Blender. Also, the IDs you are talking about are custom made by the playerbase, which are mapped to the models via UVs, allowing for infinitely customizable liveries. I believe that Areonautica takes the top spot because of its huge variety of planes and customisation and lack of p2w, however in PTFS you can get out of the plane and do ground crew and stuff. PTFS is better in that aspect, but the plane physics are garbage.
In PTFS, there is a lot of gamepasses, I think the developers prioritize profitability, while in Aeronautica, it prioritizes accessibility, so Aeronautica is like an open-source ROBLOX experience.
yeah
You can do ground crew stuff with the aeronautican
Honestly, I think it's a bit unfair comparing the two because they both are a very different style of game developed in very different manners. However, I think you made a very nice video and I agree with what you've said.
the are not a different style..

Better particles (landing gear touchdown smoke, wingtip vapor trails)

Personally I prefer Aeronautica, but it would be insane if PTFS' pros were adopted into Aeronautica. There would be no stopping aero from being the #1 roaviation game.
Aeronautica: The map is expanding every update, PTFS: its map are stagnant.
I think in the next update, Aeronautica will expand with Singapore airport, also, Kyokkou can be expanded to include The Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Plus, its devs are also working on an exciting new continent, which is like a larger version of Norman Island, and it will include Dubai, too.
The cabin in PTFS just shit, when did the 737 turns into 4 seats in a row instead of 6????
Yup. Couldn't agree more.
@Aeronauticable I know this comparison is biased but I don’t care. I’m tired of seeing this game praised when it actually sucks

i used to play ptfs everyday but when i found aeronautica i basically forgot about it.
Same aeronautica gives us something to do other than free flight in a small map
aeronautica is underrated, its a very good game

We need more points, so I'll continue your list and video with a comment:
1. Destruction:
In ptfs the planes have no destruction, however only destruction is water.
In aeronautica you can get killed by overspeed, ramming something and water too, however PTFS did the water destruction better.
+ 0.5 points for PTFS for water
+1 Point to Aeronautica for destruction overall.
(Now its 0.5 of PTFS vs 6 of Aeronautica)
(Now its 1.5 of PTFS vs 8 of aeronautica)

But in that grind game all the content that is available for public is free and you won't need to spend a penny for a380, an225 and others
if you dont need it dont pay for it easy and here in that grind game you dont spend money you spend your precious time a lot and in the ptfs u just hop and dont lie to me you wont be using a380 or an-225 alot and theres only one paid airliner i guess the only gamepass that you should buy is learjet bc its so good seats and paid=more quality so yk it kinda sucks that many military planes are paid but you know life is life if you really like to enjoy the game without needing to constant refuel and making stops PTFS is for you but if u want to waste the 10hrs to get the an225 you can no problem at all

Ok
the thing is you gotta take into account the scale of aeronautica and PTFS, PTFS has a 1:1 roblox scale while aeronautica has around a 1:20-1:60 scale, therefor the maps in aeronautica can be bigger without lagging out the entire game
Scale doesn’t matter if the content itself is better
and that reply tells us that this guy doesn’t care about Ptfs in my opinion Ptfs is still innocent and fine and just because the performance is good doesn’t mean the whole thing is set that aeronautica wins
ptfs is for fun and to just fly (even tought i would make at last the f-16 free) while aeronautica is for pros and real grinding
Core reason why Aeronautica is better than PTFS: the latter is made for money, while the former, for fun.

Both games are equally good.(I'm saying this for the sake of not having a internet war over PTFS and Aeronautica.
I get it that it’s your opinion but you came up with the categories that aeronautica would most likely win than ptfs so it’s kind of unfair in 1 way than another

Edit 2: it’s hard to compare these 2 because the quality is almost the same in a few ways and you HAVE and I mean it to give credit to Ptfs because it really was the start of aviation in Roblox and you also have to cope with models and do this vid again now or later because this is outdated as heck. No hate ig for the 2nd time

I think the only problem with Aeronautica is the grinding. There's sometimds you can't just spend 4 hours or more to afford a good plane plus the licenses.
In PTFS you play more casual and there are specialized RP servers
Another important thing is that in PTFS there's only one airplane modeler while in Aeronautica they're more and updates i dont think they're weekly like ptfs.
But i think Aeronautica is a good game, just isn't to funny to spend 5 hours grinding

Its still, it made the flight sim looks more relastics
And i know that, Aeronautica aircraft just made by block
While both gear tilt and flaps would be amazing eye candy, they do not affect the overall physics quality of the game, which beats PTFS.

It doesn’t matter if the means are wacky if the ends are superior to PTFS.
