I saw him at the Forum in Los Angeles during this very tour, including one night sitting in the front row just a few feet away. To say it was a magical night would be an understatement. I was (and am) a massive fan. It was an extraordinary experience that I have never forgotten. My friend and I had the chance to get front row seats. It seemed so sketchy, having to pick them up from some unknown guy in an industrial park. We thought it likely we would die. But for Cat it just seemed worth it. It turned out fine. The guy was a straight shooter who simply couldn't go. We paid $50 each for front row. That certainly tells you it was a different time. And even though we were poor high school kids, I consider it some of the best money ever spent. I'm so glad this great singer is still around bringing joy.

Years ago before I became a songwriter, I used to play this song for my seventh-grade students of English on the last day of school. We would form a peace train and float down the hallway, singing this song. It was the best possible way to conclude a school year. Music is a way to unite the country, for sure.

Saw the Navicat tour in 10th grade....now I'm 61...how did that happen? He sang this song last and I remember everyone stood and he played it a 2nd time and we all sang. One of the best experiences of my life. His songs were of hope and peacefulness. They actually encouraged us to be peaceABLE, not just peaceFUL. Totally different. I was in elementary school when this song came out. It only took me one time to hear it, to know how deeply important and special it was. I love this song and this artist so much. Being black, kids did not get my gratitude and love for Cat Stevens but my Daddy was a music lover and he opened the door for us to embrace all genres of music and talented artists such as Buddy Holly, Dolly Parton, B. B. King, The Temptations, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Cat Stevens, The Bee Gees, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, The Doors and so many other artists. It also helped that my father was in the music business during the 70's. Awesome music was a huge part of my upbringing into adulthood.

I played this song on the train last night. Usually, everyone is in their own little bubble and ignores one another. The few people surrounding me stoopped their stresses and went in bliss. An Australian aboriginal lady smiled from her heart and said I listened to this song when I was a kid, it's beautiful. The moment was the highlight of my night. Peace and love all💖🤠

As a teen in the 70s, I still cherish your music now as I did when I saw you live in concert. Never will your voice grow old or your lyrics out of date. They smooth me now as in my youth. Hope I have shared as much of your music to a new generation as you gave me.

Saw the Navicat tour in 10th grade....now I'm 61...how did that happen? He sang this song last and I remember everyone stood and he played it a 2nd time and we all sang. One of the best experiences of my life. His songs were of hope and peacefulness. They actually encouraged us to be peaceABLE, not just peaceFUL. Totally different. So glad you are sharing your music once again. That you have a wonderful family. After your relationship with God they are your most precious jewels. Your music is diamonds.

I was in elementary school when this song came out. It only took me one time to hear it, to know how deeply important and special it was.
I love this song and this artist so much.
Being black, kids did not get my gratitude and love for Cat Stevens but my Daddy was a music lover and he opened the door for us to embrace all genres of music and talented artists such as Buddy Holly, Dolly Parton, B. B. King, The Temptations, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Cat Stevens, The Bee Gees, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, The Doors and so many other artists.
It also helped that my father was in the music business during the 70's. Awesome music was a huge part of my upbringing into adulthood.
I just realized this is the end , you walked off the stage and went away for many years.. OH I did not want to think about that. 😢 But The Peace Train is back now ... the engine is restored bright and shinny and new spreading Peace everywhere it goes.. my bags were packed and waiting all those years for your return ❤️
