Cat Stevens' Majikat - Earth Tour was recorded during his last legendary North American tour in 1976. It was an ambitious production involving live magicians, synchronized film projection and large innovative stage set. This was the ultimate tour of Cat Stevens before he quit the music business and became Yusuf Islam; he didn't perform on stage again for nearly thirty years.

Lucky to have been born in 1960. Cat Stevens music was HUGE when I was 12 years old. We sang his music in choir. We all had his albums. I'm a life long fan. Powerful lyrics, great voice, great music! Cat Stevens is a truly great human and musician. Greats like Neil young, Paul Simon, Eddie vedder, Tom Petty and Johnny Cash, are timeless and RELATABLE. I love real music. Thank you Cat Stevens!

After 1st being taught your, Morning Has Broken song as a child by my blind, college student guitar & song teacher, this song embodies what your music taught me. I found my peace in the solitude life of the mountain, the forest, & the sea. Through your music I found my calling thru love, light, goodness, & Community Volunteerism. That was no small feat for a die hard Introvert. Like you, God gave me pleasant physical features. Because of you, he allowed me to continually step out of my comfort zone to help others in need of light. I've written other posts, not quite knowing what to say. Encapsulated, thank you and bless you for stepping out of your comfort zone to share your bright light that only through God we can shine.

When I was a kid many years ago I was embarrassed or maybe uneasy liking Cat Steven's, Simon &Garfunkel, Peter, Paul & Mary, and John Denver but now I understand something important... be true to yourself. You're the best person to know you and what you like. No regrets whatsoever. This music was awesome!

I was 26 yesterday and i grew up listening to him and many others like him and some you mentioned with my dad and i do not regret it one bit. I have a vast music taste, going from folk all the way through to metal etc. but i am not embarrassed to say i like good music. No one ever should be. Cat stevens music got me out of some very dark times - still does to this day!

I was a big time rocker (70 this year) but I loved all those too - and Carole King! When I turned 16 and got my license dad let me use his car and my best friend Frank and I took our girlfriends Margot and Laurie to see Cat at the old Auditorium Theater in Chicago.
When I was a kid growing up in the early seventies,my peers and I thought that Cat Steven’s,(wow,typed that in seven times without the apostrophe!😖😵💫oh well) Peter,Paul and Mary and Simon and Garfunkel were cool,but DEFINITELY NOT John Denver,Anne Murray or the Carpenters. It was only decades later that I came to appreciate their talent and amazing voices. Ahh,the beauty of growing older and not caring what anyone else thinks.🫢
Years ago before I became a songwriter, I used to play this song for my seventh-grade students of English on the last day of school. We would form a peace train and float down the hallway, singing this song. It was the best possible way to conclude a school year. Music is a way to unite the country, for sure.

They were great!! saw him in 1975 ... great night!
I saw him live while stationed at Pearl Harbor, and we ended up on stage with him at the end. Now, at the age of 67, it still was by far the most incredible concert I had ever been too. What a amazing musician.

Saw the Navicat tour in 10th grade....now I'm 61...how did that happen? He sang this song last and I remember everyone stood and he played it a 2nd time and we all sang. One of the best experiences of my life. His songs were of hope and peacefulness. They actually encouraged us to be peaceABLE, not just peaceFUL. Totally different. I was in elementary school when this song came out. It only took me one time to hear it, to know how deeply important and special it was.
I love this song and this artist so much.
Being black, kids did not get my gratitude and love for Cat Stevens but my Daddy was a music lover and he opened the door for us to embrace all genres of music and talented artists such as Buddy Holly, Dolly Parton, B. B. King, The Temptations, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Cat Stevens, The Bee Gees, The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, The Doors and so many other artists.
It also helped that my father was in the music business during the 70's. Awesome music was a huge part of my upbringing into adulthood.
You sang that song with such passion all those years ago, and you still sing it with conviction, somewhat different rearrangement and an unwavering faith in humanity. Your faith gives me faith. Thank you.

Miss this music. This SPIRIT. He didn't change that much,society did.. My son really liked his music( we got to share that) we would listen when things got difficulty. If I could, I'd thank him( Yosef C. Stevens) from the young man who fought a cancerous brain tumor. Oddly when I was pregnant with him I'd sing the Boy with the Moon and Stars. As a teen in the 70s, I still cherish your music now as I did when I saw you live in concert. Never will your voice grow old or your lyrics out of date. They smooth me now as in my youth. Hope I have shared as much of your music to a new generation as you gave me.
