Mewstone Island, Wembury Nr Plymouth Devon - DJI Phantom 3 Pro

- A flight from Wembury Beach to the Mewstone (and back again).
Flying from Wembury Beach rather than HMS Cambridge adds a couple of kilometres to the flight but made it more exciting for me!
The Phantom 3 reached a speed of 16 M/S (35 mph) on the way out to the island, but only managed between 9 & 10 M/S (21 mph) on the way back because of the off-shore breeze.
As it was my first flight out there, I came back early but I'm not unhappy about that as it was easily the longest distance away I have ever flown - over 2KM away! (1.3 miles) which is right at the edge of the stated range (1.2 miles)
I'm hoping to ge back again and do a proper fly-around to try to make a 3D map of the place.

Just wanna let you know I did the same sort of video where you took off from it’s a red class no fly zone but if you take off from the beach where I did mine from it not just check out noflydrones.com you will see what I mean just trying to keep everyone safe but sick forage mate mine for some reason when I uploaded it it was bad and really blurry I uploaded at 1080P but I have no idea why it’s gone blurry I will update it soon
Lukez Dronez thanks for your comment. I think technically it’s not a no fly zone, it’s a zone where the gps system can be unreliable due to external influences but flying is allowed as long as you know the system may loose the ability to navigate.
As for uploading, I just added a sound track and uploaded it at the highest resolution I could and let TH-cam do the rest. This was shot in 1080p at 50 FPS.
Ah right ok no worries I just use no fly drones a lot just looking out for other drone users I will bare that in mind do you know why my video is blurry atal I don’t understand what I did wrong
Lukez Dronez my guess would be that the resolution was mismatched when you uploaded it. Just make sure TH-cam is set to the same resolution as the video you shot and hopefully it’ll work better this time 🙂
