Just taking a look at one of my favorite dc super heros, weither it be Dick, Jason, Tim, Carrie, Stephanie(not her), or Damian, Robin's a mainstay in pop culture and comic book lore.
The only Robin I ever really had a connection to was the TV show. Burt Ward as Dick Grayson. I used to watch the re-runs with my dad. So it's a sentimental thing. Beyond that I never really got connected to a Robin character.
Believe it or not I also hated Damian at first but now I guess I’d say he’s my favorite. Really, though, I like all the Robins. I was reading when Stephanie became (and got fired from being) Robin and was even invested in that. I actually wanted that to go longer at the time, but now I think she’s good in the Batgirls trio.
After all this time I still can't stand Damian, Steph had a good run, I was pissed when Tim lost the robin roll. So, thats just fiction and creativity I guess.
The best Damien has been in the super sons cartoon. The Titans version of Jason Todd was baaadddd. Tim Drake was Robin back when I was reading Batman comics so he's my choice. Now, the version of Robin in Young Justice was really good in the first season. I enjoyed his creepy laugh
I actually like Stephanie Brown's run as Robin as it had a lot of weight to it's consequences, at least for the time that she was presumed dead. I would say Tim Drake is probably my favorite Robin, and yeah Damien is my least favorite. Though I think him being insufferable actually brings something unique to his character as Robin, also it's fun when he gets some comeuppance.
