I'm not even vegan and I love your content. I like the contemplative way you talk and your videos feel so cozy. Plus it's always good to get some more plant based meal ideas. =)
"Unprofessional" cooking videos are my preferred videos honestly. I click off videos where everything looks staged and everything's portioned out in tiny glass bowls etc...because real people don't cook like that. We use leftover jars and such. So please keep being "unprofessional"! I love your cooking videos, I feel inspired by your creativity. :) edit: OREO SOUP. That is such a big brain move...definitely trying that recipe hahaha
So good seeing someone who eats the way I do! As a student who is super passionate about veganism that is on a budget and lives in a country that has very specific seasons for produce, it can be hard to watch all the raw vegans eating fresh fruit for every meal or the ones who eat all fancy substitutes that I can afford to eat maybe once a week. Please keep doing what you’re doing, I’m definitely watching!
I was embarrassingly old when I realized that I don’t like eating breakfast. I’m not usually hungry in the morning, and eating that early upsets my stomach. It’s refreshing to hear other people saying you don’t have to stuff yourself in the morning if you don’t feel like it lol
same for me, i realized when i was a kid lol. it's kinda weird how people think it's the worst thing if you don't eat breakfast lol, when really ppl should just eat whenever works for them!
This is soooo calming and *realistic* I’ve been having anxiety about money feeling weird about not wanting to go to the store but this vid really inspires me to use what I have. I loved this vid :)
Your videos are always so cosy to watch! I dont even live in the us so many of the things you buy arent avaiable to me, but i still watch almost every video! U keep me company on my counter while i Cook my own dinners 💕
First video of yours that I'm seeing and I love it! Love watching how people use up what they have to save on groceries, especially if it's vegan related. And- you have a great sense of humor!
If you end up doing the pasta board, you could always add handles and use a command hook to hang it on your wall or even on the back of your pantry door when you are using the stovetop!!
Are command hooks strong enough to hold up a plank of wood like that? I like the idea, I'm just wondering if you personally know if command hooks work for that?
@@Aelffwynn Ahh I didn’t really think of it that way. Ik on the packaging sometimes it tells the weight limit but it depends on the weight of the board like u said
@@Aelffwynnit probably depends on how heavy/thick the board is! I know there are command strips that can hold 5lb so if you use two or three of those and a board that isn’t crazy heavy, I bet it could work (taking mental notes for myself actually lol!)
I think this is the most realistic what I eat in a week video I have seen🙊 please keep being real. I really dislike these kind of videos where you can tell that it is just fake. You just gained yourself a new follower 🥰
i hardly knew how to cook anything a few years ago! having videos like yours really helped my transition into adulthood during covid. they have given me a lot of inspiration & helped me find my own personal style of cooking. thanks and keep it up :)
I love this recessioncore themed video. I have such a full pantry and freezer but am always tempted to still go grocery shopping. I need to be inspired by you to just eat what I have.
If anyone out there doesn't like oatmeal, try soaking it before you cook it (or eat it cold) it helps break it down to be more digestible and delicious imo.
emily!!! I have watched you for years but never comment but I must!! I have a noodle board (I had no idea it had a name) and its the best thing ever. I know a woodworking guy and they helped make one fit to my stove dimensions so it fit the best on my counter. I normally just put it on my kitchen table when I would cook and then clean the stove and put it back on pretty much immediately (or put the finished food on the table if we were serving directly from the pan). It never really felt like it was in the way but you could totally let it just hang out wherever
I just lean my noodle board ( had never heard it referred to like that before, fun! ) against the wall behind the stove while in use. Mine is an induction stove so there's a good bit of space between the actual cooking surface and the wall.
Go to the Dollar tree and get burner covers that's what I do and then you're able to use the stove to put stuff on because the burners are covered an no crumbs fall in 👌😊
You are a whole ass vibe, and I’m into all of it!!! 🌱💜 I just need to give your link to everyone who struggles finding their groove in the kitchen or feels like it’s just too hard and orders out (and wastes every last penny). You illustrate how to throw tasty things together EASILY. I’m solid in the kitchen, but I can imagine how your channel has really helped so many people grow. Good work, Emily!!!!!! A+
I recently moved and it helped me realize how much food I have in my cabinet so I'm also trying to use what I have lol. The frozen boba is a really good idea
The thumbnail with the boba in the ice cube tray is what drew me to your video and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole video ❤ love your humor and chill vibes🤗 the recipes look great too! I’m totally going to try the bulk boba hack tomorrow !
I love this so much I hate waste and I love learning to use up everything today I had a orange and dried the peel and made it into a powder to have on top my yoghurt and orange tea
I’ve put cacao nibs in homemade granola before to use them up and it was pretty good! They sort of melt more in with the honey and oil of the granola so it’s a bit more like real chocolate lol
New follower here ~ I LOVE your videos! I'm recently obsessed with muesli and thought, since you love oats, you should give it a try! It's a great alternative to warm oats during the summer months! Take care Emily!
For the black tea - the caffeine and the tannins in the tea bond when tea is put in the fridge or iced after being brewed at a hot hot temp! Might be avoidable if you let it get to room temp before putting in the fridge but it's normal :)
The reason tea turns cloudy when it cools/gets refrigerated is because the tannins and the caffeine molecules are bonding with each other at low temps! The lower temperature makes it easier for the molecules to interact since they’re moving a lot slower and they can then form attractions :) if you want to stop it becoming cloudy (there’s nothing bad about it, just for aesthetic reasons) you can add some lemon to the tea when it’s brewed and the acid will make the tannins less soluble which means they’ll interact less with the caffeine when it cools!
You’re so talented and gifted girly! 💚 You know what your taste buds like and you see what you have available to make and yet some how you make it look delicious to the point I’ll so eat at your restaurant if you had all this. 😩✨ Bonus it’s vegan and healthy well compared to not healthy foods that’s not vegan. Using lots of sugar or processed food to make it taste/look delicious
You should be able to get these metal covers for your burners. I have seen them at places like Walmart, I bet Amazon has them. That would solve your issue with crumbs and drips getting on your burners. I use my stove as counter space too, small kitchen as well. I like the looks of the noodle board, but like you where do you put it, lol.
i have seen cleaning videos where you can lift up ur stovetop and clean under where the burners are!! i get crumbs down there all the time so i want to try to clean it soon
love these videos! it's a bit weird that we have a LOT of oatly products where I live but I have never seen those ice cream bars literally anywhere edit: forgot to say I really love your freezing tips and hacks, especially the boba one in this vid!
My grandmother has the metal version of a noodleboard! I guess they aren't on newer appliances but it's attached to the top of the stove and it just folds up when you want to use it! Maybe you could lean one in between the oven and the microwave?
Your videos make me so happy lol I love your content and when you post it totally makes my day!!! I love watching your videos when I’m heading to bed just like chill vibes all around 😂you are def apart of mine and my kids bedtime routine. ❤
That's so true what you said about different ways of eating oats can impact the taste! I remember I didn't like oatmealish stuff for a long time but just exploring and trying new things with them made me love them! Also that taco soup with hash brown added sounds soooo good! You eat the same kind of stuff I like to eat and I'm not vegan (yet) !
If you got a noodle board with a little loop attached to it you could put a pretty hook on your kitchen accent wall and hang it there while you're using the stove
I actually lost a friend because I wasnt straight forward with them. I should have simply told them that i was on a budget instead of declying them over over again to go out.I mean sometimes i would offer alternatives. Be clear with your situation and i think you will be good to go. If they decide they don't want to hang out with out spending money it's their loss. Honesty is the way to go tho for sureee
We have a noodle board! I just purchased the largest cheapest cutting board I could find and some rubber feet! I have mine over two burners and it makes such a big difference having that extra counter space!
RECESSIONCORE 😭😭😭
That took me out 🤣🤣 I was deaddddd lol
but its so TRUUUUU
im living thru the trenches rn 😭
LITTTT RALLLL YYYYYY 😂
🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄😏😏
a cool word to desribe my life
I'm not even vegan and I love your content. I like the contemplative way you talk and your videos feel so cozy. Plus it's always good to get some more plant based meal ideas. =)
Same lol, not vegan anymore but it makes me have ideas for my meals
same, as someone who's trying to eat more balanced!
edit: OREO SOUP. That is such a big brain move...definitely trying that recipe hahaha
Me assuming a noodle board was the equivalent of a charcuterie board for pasta
Same here 😭
😂😂😂

White beans are dope as a creamy sauce, like alfredo. Blend them up with milk and stuff. Can use it to creamify soups too.
Ooo I wanna try this
the title is such a mood but this is genuinely so helpful. This is a great inspiration for young people navigating their lives in this ✨economy✨
emily defensively saying her sweatshirts get washed feels very relatable to me
Your freezing tips have honestly saved me so much money, you are the queen of budget friendly yummy meals !!
It’s always a delight to see your videos. Simple, relaxing and delicious. It heals my soul

same for me, i realized when i was a kid lol. it's kinda weird how people think it's the worst thing if you don't eat breakfast lol, when really ppl should just eat whenever works for them!
This broke budgeting food looks ✨ sensational ✨
The fact that you are willing to make and share the concept of Oreo soup..... This is why I like this channel
This is soooo calming and *realistic*
I’ve been having anxiety about money feeling weird about not wanting to go to the store but this vid really inspires me to use what I have. I loved this vid :)
Listening to Emily while I study for school is the only thing keeping me from going insane 😖
Your videos are always so cosy to watch! I dont even live in the us so many of the things you buy arent avaiable to me, but i still watch almost every video! U keep me company on my counter while i Cook my own dinners 💕
When you said „have you heard about noodle boards?“ I first heard „have you heard about newborns?“ and I was really confused for a second 😅

@ericaschoenberg7782 in my experience, you want a command hook that is advertised as 2x stronger than you actually need. Hope it works for you!
@@Aelffwynn ooh I did not know that! but im glad i do now 😄

yes! i’ve been wanting to try those chocolate oatly bars! didn’t know they had a shell. now i’m sold.
thank you 💛
Love budget friendly meals👍🏼
Love your content so much that I even watch the ads 😭
Also homage plant milk especially oat milk comes in clutch for saving money
i needed this. Surprisingly during the cost of living crisis, vegan stuff isnt as expensive as meat and all the other stuff

The frozen boba is single handedly the most genius thing I’ve ever witnessed on the Internet
i've been watching your what i eat in a week videos since i was in high school 😭 they r so comforting every time i love how realistic it is :')
I'm not even vegan but this was so enjoyable to watch. Very creative and chill. You made some *delicious* looking stuff!

one of the BEST channels on youtube
I was vegan back in highschool for 1.5 years and watching your videos makes me want to get back into it!!!
when you said noodle board i thought of the butter board trend and got nervous
SAME LOL
HAHAH oh god
Every morning I wake up and check youtube to see if I'll have one of your videos to watch while I eat breakfast - best breakfast of the week!
Freezing boba = genuis! Grocery Outlet is *so* good. First time seeing your channel and love it!

I love that your content has lore now 😆💚💚
Try the made good vanilla squares. Not a rice crispy treat but similar idea and they are incredible
I didn’t like oats for a long time. But adding stuff to oatmeal helped me. Now I love them. I add vegan sausage, yogurt and berries. Weird but delish!

Yes 😊 just was watching some old videos during breakfast and thought about a new one. And here it is ❤🎉
that ending was too funny - the slow circle to black - ur a comedy genius
Soy milk in matcha is so good too!! With CINNAMON
For the black tea - the caffeine and the tannins in the tea bond when tea is put in the fridge or iced after being brewed at a hot hot temp! Might be avoidable if you let it get to room temp before putting in the fridge but it's normal :)
I read recessioncore as recessionaire and now I can't undo the thought of us all being recessionaires. 😂

but why!
LETS GOOO - needed this
I love every time you’re making oatmeal you aggressively say “salt” when you mention what you’re adding.
Do you keep your brown sugar syrup in the fridge? Going to make some today! Thanks :)
yes i believe u can keep it out but it just goes bad a lot faster!

Please more of these!
I’ve seen people put them over the sink (the board)
Yogurt, Agave, shredded coconut and cacao nibs, thank me later😊
Those rice crispy treats are honestly to die for. They are so… dare I say. DELICIOUS. Great content btw :D
Also question - do you have any tips on saying no to your friends wanting to eat out a lot? Or still being social while spending less money?

Honestly love these videos I want to do a pantry challenge myself
If you can find them, the Lindt Classic Recipe Oatmilk bars are awesome! Our Walmart doesn’t have the Sam’s Choice ones… 😕
