That is a great looking area, glad you showed us this. History is so cool sometimes like that trip. Be careful you will catch the gold fever! Lol. Took me years to get rid of it. Hope you find lots! Thanks, Clinton

Hahahaha yeah it was pretty awesome to be in that little ghost town and feel the history of it all. And lol ugh yeah I think I’m already addicted to panning 😂 We spent 3 days in that area, camping on that river, it was pretty cool… maybe I’ll post the full trip next week. 🤙🏽

Yes so cool. On my bucket list. James Marshall is a distant relative of mine. ❤

That is super awesome! You may have a park named after your family very close to this location. Called Henningsen Lotus Park, I don't know if that's a coincidence haha

This is an awesome video! This is pretty much our backyard and to see how stoked you guys were on the history and everything is super cool. Good call to bring the fly rod, the river does fish very well(stones, caddis, mays,&streamers)Around the 14 min mark you are spot on, the history here is so deep and you can feel it. Look Into the Battle of Rock Creek which took place just upriver if you have a few minutes. It was an incredibly pivotal point for the entire country. If Marshall didn't discover gold here it may have never happened, and we very well could have not been the USofA. I've spent alot of time on the river and Battle of Rock Creek kind of explained the presence I've always felt. Alot of Miwok and Maidu lived off this land till that point in history. Wild stuff! Tight Lines and take care🤙

Oh wow we will have to check that out! Yeah this was a really really cool experience and I really could feel this energy there especially down by that river it was pretty wild. It also blew my mind how they started building that mill on my birthday too! 😂🤙🏽 Crazy. Very cool trip and place. Thanks for the info! Glad you enjoyed the video! 👊🏽😊
