“One Community is about building DIY sustainable eco-villages that provide a better, healthier, and more enriching living experience. Our open source and free-shared designs include sustainable and "Highest Good" approaches to food, energy, housing, education, for-profit and non-profit economic design, social architecture, fulfilled living, global stewardship practices, and more. Our goal is to demonstrate these villages as teacher/demonstration hubs that are easy enough, affordable enough, and enjoyable enough to live in so that they spread on their own. This is the September 13th, 2020 edition (#390) of our weekly progress update detailing our team’s development and accomplishments.”

Villages are the WAY!!! Love that you are doing this - thank you 🙏
Thank you for your support Rebecca!

@@onecommunityorg do you have a team here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 my question curiosity sir ma'am ?
Have you built a community yet?
No, still finishing the open source library of instructions: www.tinyurl.com/oc-os-wbs
I was very excited for a while and wanted to sign up but if the organizer has no confidence to create the actual work, what good are the plans if no action?
@@ADAWC I'm inclined to agree
@@ShawnRitchThank you. To my understanding, their team has a thousand people and take them 3 years to plan. I have only a few people. It may take me until my next life to do it. Besides, throughout the years, they show a handful of projects. I wondered if their team was actively planning, developing and designing or only reproducing the same stuff for others. Even if they are making duplicates. Perhaps show us some examples around the world, just some sections of the projects and no need to disclose the exact location. That would help us a lot.
@@ADAWC 1000 volunteers have contributed so far and it is has been 13 years, not 3. If we're the source that you want for this information, please continue to be patient. Every day we are making progress.
If you'd like to see the best existing online examples of what we're creating tutorials for, visit the resources section of our website for whatever component you are interested in. We continue to develop those resource sections as we're researching and finishing each component's tutorials.
If you are on Facebook, we also maintain this resource of other resources we've come across or that people have shared with us. They are sorted into categories: facebook.com/groups/forthehighestgoodofall/permalink/202636443233200
Those pages are how we keep track of the best we're aware of in the world so far. In some cases, there are existing plans and tutorials for replication but none comprehensive enough that we could use them to finish what we're still developing... so filling in the blanks is what's needed and where our energy is focused on daily.
We won't build until we have a complete set of step-by-step instructions and approved engineering plans. This is the action list for achieving that: www.tinyurl.com/oc-os-wbs Once everything on this list is done, we'll begin building as our way of testing the instructions. Throughout the building/testing process, we'll further document everything. This will include fixing and/or improving any parts of the documentation that we find weren't clear or complete and adding what we learn that we didn't know we needed to learn (or it would have already been included). We'll also be adding video tutorials for all the steps and specifics that would benefit from them.
I hope this helps and helps you better understand why it is taking us as long as it is.
