Hi, Sian, do you mind my asking what brand of roller skates do you use? Or if they're custom made, what's the diameter of the wheels? I'm hoping to get a pair next year and (being the huge Starlight Express fan I am) I really want them to be as much like in the show as possible. PS I really like your Vlogs; I'm learning to draw the characters in the show and seeing you close up in full make up really helps!
Heyho, I really love your videos/behind-the.scene-footage of Starlight Express. As I mentioned in an earlier viedo, I (personally ) prefer the older version(s), including vaious dismissed/changed songs and/or characters *cough* Rocky 4*cough*. However, apart from my feelings toward the current direction of this musical, I would like to know (I always wondered): How do some people/actors get changed to different roles? I mean: If you are (e.g.) the 1st casting choice for Pearl, how do you end up playing /again e.g.) playing Buffy at one evening? I mean: Pearl is a main-character, whereas Buffy is more like a "well, yeah, she's also there"-side-character. So, how/why could the first cast end up, playing side-cast-characters, whyle their character is played by their "replacement"? Wouldn't it make more sense to recast the "minor" characters for a show/evening, instead of the leads?
I also have always wondered that!! But it also sounds really fun. I bet it's way more exciting and keeps everything very fresh to have everyone switching. It must be more enjoyable to switch characters sometimes even if you were originally a lead.
It keeps the others' memories of the roles fresh. Each person has to be ready for at least 3 roles, to avoid the need of cancelling shows due to accidents or sickness or whatever ...
Why do not you have a Krupp more? What happened there? Can not just take the old cast again. This is not in order. So we will not look at the show Krupp belongs to it.Forever and ever.
