  • (БГ субтитри/ EN subtitles) Hetta - Pallas is a legendary 55 km hiking trail in the Finnish Lapland. The trail offers a stunning Arctic landscape and breathtaking views. But all the necessary details you can find here: www.nationalpa...
I would like just to share a few words about our experience here.
My backpack was so damn heavy. We weren't sure about the water supply during the first two days, so, the first day in my backpack, I had six litres of water. How silly, because there was water everywhere. My camera gear was another seven kilos. We also carried a bit too much food as we were planning to spend five days hiking, but we did it in four days. But that was my choice, so I don't mean to complain. We did what we wanted and apart from the weight on my back, we enjoyed every single thing during these four days.
To all non-Finns: if you plan on hiking in Finland, please familiarise yourself with the local hiking etiquette and rules, because most likely they differ from the rules in your home country. I have hiking experience in many countries, but in Finland, things were very different. I love so much the way Finns do the things in their hiking culture, so I would do anything to keep it that way with all my respect.

I must give credit to my best camerawoman for helping me filming this experience and taking amazing photos. This is my girl, she rocks, and her photo art you can see on her IG: / nadin_greenadin
The book 'Hiking in Finland' by Jouni Laaksonen you can find in many stores in Finland, but if you're abroad, here is a link

P.s. I am a Bulgarian, so you can see lots of Cyrillic text across my TH-cam channel. NO, THIS IS NOT THE RUSSIAN LANGUAGE! It is 100% Bulgarian language. In fact, the Russians borrowed our alphabet many centuries ago, so they and many others are now using the Cyrillic alphabet, which is in fact Bulgarian. They are all welcome :)
Dear Finns, please, have a look at some of my other films made in my home country, I often add English subtitles. I hope this will give some ideas to visit places other than Sunny Beach resort ;) Please feel free to ask me anything about Bulgaria and I'll do my best to help you.
