my thoughts and prayers go out to the Riskin family friends and Neighbors she was a wonderful asset to our community and will be missed by all who had the opportunity to be blessed bye her presents.
I remember when I lived in montecito, because I worked for Rusty´s Pizza. I really like it however now I live in Mexico City I will never forget that nice experience.
I have come many times to Montecito to the famous Biltmore Four Seasons Hotel and had tea. My visit in this whole entire area has always been very special and Blessed to me.
I once drove for a woman with elegance from Montecito, she would always tell me,do not advertise Santa Barbara. Now everyone is here.I now see her point.
Live 50 minutes north You cannot believe the homes in the Santa Barbra/montecito and santa ynez valley.....In los olivos ...a town of few people they have 40 wine tasting rooms.......great weekend trip which we do often.....Jeff Bridges had his home up for sale in montecito...a roman stone mansion hanging over the ocean,,,beyond belief home. I was going to put in a bid but discovered I was 26 million short
It's the day after the mudslides and the recent fire, I just can't believe this incredible place has been reduced to ash and mud. Something is happening here and Im really not sure what it is?
Montecito is a dream land. Moved there in 2007 with hopes of a house and starting my family. It left me broke and unable to live a basic life. If you move there you better have a fat bank account and work from home, becasue there is no where to earn money there. Even the rich are land poor.

This Santa Barbara suburb is one of the best places to live in America. Clean, safe, very white, beautiful nature,Pacific ocean beaches, close but still away from LA,great weather & very expensive . Perfect place to call home if you have a lot of money.
@@Polarbear-zy6vf yes, the mudslides were awful, and wildfires.. what about earthquakes, i don't know, or even dangers of tsunamis. It looks pretty but living there a long time would be a bit boring after a while.
How easy is it to find a job in a cafe? How much would a nice two bedroom apartment cost, overlooking the sea? And is it possible as a Brit to get a visa etc?
Wow that looks beautiful. I am from Switzerland and am planning to retire in a sunnier climate all year. What kind of income do I need to live there. I am not going to retire with millions of dollars. But I will have a decent monthly income. Can somebody give me advice?
If you are from switzerland then you need to have millions. Shouldn't be to hard for you to amass from that country. Get yourself a property in Zurich and Geneva, rent them out for 10 years and then sale them.
Homes there are up in the multi millions. It would take a million dollar a year income to afford to live there. Yet, not everyone in Montecito is a movie star. Where are they getting these million dollar a year jobs in Santa Barbara? I never see these positions advertised. I'd like to get one of those jobs. Where do you apply?
the horrible mudslide left many people dead and many more homeless. and with the wildfires. however when you wrote your comment 4 years ago, I would ask the same question all the time and I still do. where the F do people get all this money? I see people driving brand new cars loaded with everything possible from the ground up from the inside out and homes that to me I just don't know how they can afford them or the things in them. Not the U.S. but the world. There are hundreds of cities and towns and villages, most of them rural and agrarian. There is a lot to California besides L.A. and S.F.

Check to see how much the rental is for houses and apartments firs. You have to be quite wealthy to live there,
Definitely have to be a millionaire.
