The Ballon dor is just a popularity contest. They should let the public vote for who wins it. The FIFA best awards are a lot more fair and accurate and reflect the deserved winner of the year. There have been previous years where the winner of the world cup was snubbed until now. Halaand was on fire the whole year and got robbed by Messi loving voters at these awards.
