I think partially this is just sad. The woman demonstrated in front of an audience how she has a deep and parasocial relationship with bill and then even kept going after bill said the first time he doesn't remember her, so she's not even aware how parasocial it is

Afaik he is very socially anxious and uses comedy and playing roles to mask, which is pretty common with socially awkward/anxious people. Source: am socially awkward and constantly anxious as hell. But from what I know he’s respected by everyone he’s worked with in the business, down to camera people, make-up people etc. definitely has solid work ethics too. As for his private life, I wouldn’t know and frankly I don’t know why anyone would care.
