- ମାଇଲ ମାଇଲ ବିସ୍ତୃତ ଡେସିଡୟସ - ସେମି ଡେସିଡିୟସ ଅରଣ୍ୟ । ଜେନାବିଲ, ଅପର ବାରହାକାମୁଡା ଓ ଦେବସ୍ଥଳୀର ଦୂର ଦିଗବଳୟ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବିସ୍ତାରିତ ତୃଣଭୂମି, ଥାକ ଥାକ ପର୍ବତମାଳା, ସର୍ପିଳ ଗତିରେ ଗିରି କନ୍ଦର ଚିରି କୁଳୁ କୁଳୁ ନାଦରେ ବହି ଯାଉଥିବା ଅସଂଖ୍ୟ ଛୋଟ ବଡ ନଈ ନାଳ...ଘଞ୍ଚ ଅରଣ୍ୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଛିଡା ହୋଇଥିବା ସୁଉଚ୍ଚ ପାହାଡ ମଥାନରୁ କ୍ଷିପ୍ରଗତିରେ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ଜଳପ୍ରପାତର ଘୋ..ଘୋ.. ଗର୍ଜନ.. ବଡ ବଡ ଗଛର ଶାଖାରେ ଶାଖାରେ ଲଟେଇଥିବା ଜାତିଜାତିକା ଅର୍କିଡ ଫୁଲର ମହମହ ବାସ୍ନା... ଦିନ ତମାମ୍ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପକ୍ଷୀଙ୍କ କାକଳି ସହିତ ରହି ରହି ହରିଣ ସମ୍ବରର ଚିକ୍ରାର । ରାତିରେ ବାଘ, ଶିଆଳଙ୍କ ରଣ ହୁଙ୍କାର ସହିତ ପେଚାର ଦୀର୍ଘ ଭୀତିପ୍ରଦ ଉଫ୍ ଉଫ୍ ଡାକ.. ବୃକ୍ଷରାଜି, ପଶୁପକ୍ଷୀ, ସରୀସୃପଙ୍କ ବ୍ୟତୀତ ଖଡିଆ, ମାଙ୍କଡିଆ, ହୋ, ଭୂୟାଁ, ସାନ୍ତାଳ ଭଳି ଆଦିମ ଜନଜାତି.. କଣ ନାହିଁ ଶିମିଳିପାଳରେ !

No doubt scenic beauty is amazing but sighting of wild animals is rare of the rarest... Also the gvt seems to be careless... Look at other states how they have excellently managed to increase the tiger population... But our Odisha is far far behind them

Similipal is opens from October to June, in monsoon it gets close.
There are two entry points one from baripada and one from jashipur .but it is suitable to entry from baripada as it is bigger place than jashipur.
If you are planning to stay in the forest house in similipal than you have to do reservation in baripada tiger reserve office at least some day before but if you are planning an one day tour then go in the morning any of the two entry points and enjoy similipal. But I m suggesting you should go from baripada. The entry point of baripada is 25 km from baripada known as pithapata checkpoint and jashipur is around 100 km from baripada.
