With economical computer & recording equipment, kids all over the world are making every kind of music imaginable. It was actually MUCH harder for her to have done this in the 90s than it would be today. She had to convince a label to put up money to back her and to distribute the album. Today you can record it yourself and upload to TH-cam, and have a million views within a few days. Just check out Lanie Gardner's monster viral cover of Stevie Nicks' Dreams if you don't believe me.
