The saves work just fine, he just chose not to use them, and clearly didn't need to given he beat the hack deathless. Him playing so efficiently also made the hack play much faster, for most people this is 30-45 minutes to play. You can try it yourself, see how fast you beat it. Also, not incomplete. Just a small hack. Make your own hack if you want something very big, be the change you want to see. Otherwise how can you complain

this hack was made under time constraints for a contest on a forum.
Nobody makes full SM rom hacks anymore 🙄
There are multiple full-scale hacks in the works by community members. All the ones that just came out, however, were for a two-month-long contest.
