    I've been a tech since 1995, but have been doing CT since '99. I'm going to a CT/Xray position and I feel like I've lost most of my Xray skills. I really appreciate your channel and others that I've found on YT, that help me brush up on my skills. THANK YOU

      Awesome! We are going to do more soon, covering more positioning, and also some physics subjects like Inverse and Direct Square Law, radiation production, things like that. Anything specific you would like to see?

      @@glennskinner1309 I'm still fuzzy on the new technology as it pertains to grid use. I took Xrays before digital became the norm

      @@7ymlord There are definitely differences. Grid frequency is more important that is was previously. You frequency and "match up" with the raster pattern on the imaging monitors and cause moire patterns.

      How has your new position worked out? Also, we just added videos on the Inverse Square and Direct Square laws, there are some very good shortcuts on them, and they make the math MUCH simpler!

      Radiology sure has changed... no more dials with fractions on them. I stopped doing Xray right as digital was taking hold, so I was still in the darkroom days. It's been a year now, and I feel pretty confident. Thankfully I have you and others to brush up on my positioning skills. I really appreciate your videos!@@thepenumbrabrothersexplain707

      You are welcome, let us know what other videos you would like to see! We recently added videos on the Direct and Inverse Square laws. There are a few good short cuts that are very helpful.

    Is the use of lead apron for thumb xray necessary. Because I didn't get one.

    • @thepenumbrabrothersexplain707
      @thepenumbrabrothersexplain707  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      By the current standards, no. As you can see, her legs are not under the table, so she is not in the path of the beam. It is a recent change and the governing bodies that set the standards, due to research and long term evidence, in most cases, lead aprons are not needed.

      It depends on your equipment, normally 1-2 mAs and 55 kVp, but that can change depending on your x-ray machine and the film/detector system you are using
