The kind of infrastructure development and improvement going on in the whole of Kenya, especially Nairobi is actually impressive. Kenya is one big construction site. It should be labelled; CLOSED FOR REPAIR. Everywhere you turn, there's something being constructed. You leave Nairobi for a month and get lost when you come back. Kenya is making major strides.

They are selfish. These changes might or might not serve us for long for sure but its the many generations to come that will appreciate what was done for the them henceforth. At least we also found it better from how it used to be from the independence era.

This would be a good thing in about a year and will wake up other countries to do the same, maybe. Africa has got too much going for itself to be separated this way. Other countries wil steal their oil and other resources and when its almost gone they will build more solar or battery cars and forbid Africans to add charging stations to their roads, hint hint.

These construction projects are doing more harm than good. The amount of debt Kenya is taking up is unhealthy and unsustainable. In a few years Kenya won't be able to pay its debts and we'll lose all our assets e.g ports, government buildings etc to the Chinese. Also the government will tax us more to try pay the debts hence killing businesses. These debts are in USD hence they keep increasing every day as the KES depreciates. We don't need all these roads, we'd do just fine without them
A poor man doesn't need a V8, borrowing to buy a V8 is dumb, he should borrow to buy a vitz. Kenya is like the poor man borrowing to buy a v8

The shots are great and quality is tops. However, you are missing out on many background work that will improve the updates. For instance, the video mainly covered a stretch of about 5kms only, repeats of area around bamburi and mombasa cement factories, the tunnel, the signature mall and therefore missed out on many others. You missed the steel factories like Devki, Athi river steel (biggest in the region), kmc, Dayster University Lukenya schools, and an actual drive to the junction. The reason being that by highlighting the industrial growth, universities and residential buildings like greenpark, the viewer will also identify areas of investment potential. A small interview with the contractors, engineers, county or city planners can give you a lot of information. Also why the need for expansion and impact to a town like machakos as well as motorists and residents.
I love your work and these would be my inputs for quality improvement.

A 6 to 8 lane highway from Mombasa to Kisumu and onwar to Uganda is What's needed. The same for the railways and waterways...... There should be river vessels floating up and downstream to the coast laden with goods....( allows for heavier tonnage and less wear and tear on the roads ) what will get Kenya to possibly be a middle income country. ( Algeria, RSA, Thailand, Chile etal ). Nairobi needs a subway commuter system and serious investment in health facilities and recreational amenities, and services. Basically a £ 75-£100 billion investment would go a long way in realising that..... And also the buildings next to major highways is an eyesore. Gotta get the pedestrians out of major highways.

That's what Jimmy Wanjigi wanted to do under PPP. Either an 8-lane super highway or SGR. But when UhuRuto took over, they became greedy and decided to go for Chinese loans that have no accountability.

Coffee one day will have better returns than real estate. Why? More people are drinking coffee. Imagine when India and China start drinking coffee who will supply these markets. Coffee can not be grown anyhwere in any country it requires some certain climatic conditions to grow and Kenya being one of a handful of countries and with demand of coffee increasing , it will almost be impossible to meet the coffee demand of billions of people thus coffee becomes a highly sort after commodity. Thats $$$$ to coffee farmers. Infact coffee is the second most traded commodity second to oil. What coffee growing countries need to do is start their own Opec (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries ) basically what this means is major coffee growers need to form their own group like Opec, and then decide on the price of coffee. They can set a minimum price where the price will not go under. This way coffee farmers have a guranteed profit just like oil producing countries under the umbrella of Opec. Kenya needs to lead this idea and get coffee producing countries to form a consortium like opec. Call it OEEC. Organization of Coffee exporting countries.
