Thank you for this video. I am 69 and have been practicing aikido for 40 years. I am very interested in this softer yin/yang approach. I recently found Henry Kono and his 2 videos about yin/yang in aikido. - Dave

Hi Dave, I am 65 years old. I love pursuing old man Aikibodo. The yin/yang energy practice is very relaxed and soft.

Feel like I just learned the fundamental principle that masters from the past wanted to keep secret.
Thank you Yoshi sensei for sharing this with us.

What is the sensation felt by uke? Why are they powerless or incapable of detaching? Do they feel trapped in a way that they have to ukemi?

Dear Sir.. the ying yang touch you practice in this video sens to me to reproduce, with your forearm, your technic of making a triangle as described with koshisabaki in former videos. I clearly see the uke being driver out of his center line by your forearm, probably helped by a smal internal hip rotation.. my understanding of making a triangle is just this, after careful studying of your lessons: making the Tori out of the Uke centerline.. dors that make sense?

This is so similar to ‘seizing energy’ in tai chi.
