About Nance Arte Productions:
Nancy Marie Arteaga, owner of Nance Arte Productions in Los Angeles, is a powerhouse in the music scene. Specializing in Latin, soul, and reggae, she manages and produces emerging talents like Boogaloo Assassins, The Lions, and more. She's also collaborated with renowned acts like Hepcat and Budos Band, orchestrates popular events, such as tributes to Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley, and oversees LA's top soul and funk vinyl dance party, Funky Sole.
About Fania:
2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the legendary New York label Fania Records, one of the most significant Latin labels in the world, musically and culturally. In the ’60s, Fania was a pioneer in creating and spreading the sound of salsa music from New York City to the globe. In addition to salsa, Fania is the definitive home for genres such as Latin big band, Afro-Cuban jazz, boogaloo and Latin soul. Its roster of artists includes countless music legends, such as Johnny Pacheco, Willie Colón, Héctor Lavoe, Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Ray Barretto, Cheo Feliciano and Rubén Blades, among many others. In 1968, the creation of the international supergroup known as the Fania All-Stars, a vital force in Latin music, established the label’s signature musical style, which became known as the “Fania Sound.” Today, Fania’s legacy is just as meaningful to Latin music as Stax and Motown to soul or Prestige and Blue Note to jazz. It remains a cultural beacon, illuminating a powerful American immigrant story that is as timely today as when the label launched.

Very nice, thank you.
Hello Gia❤ I just found you, I'm listening and enjoying in Ocala, Florida 🎉The sound is GREAT! I'm watching you on my tv on TH-cam. What a great crowd! You have a great taste for my music and good ears to cath the sound equalization and mixing controls You're so beautiful in your white dress and boots. You have great rythm and cute dancing too.❤🎉😅
¡Excelente Gia Fu! saludos desde Puerto Rico
It's so good. Great set! Advertising on your channel about this event might have triggered me to go. I'm just glad it was recorded...
Me encanta su canal, muy buena salsa..!!!
Big thanks Gia Salsa is i me Love mercy sister
Que Chinita tan Bella y con tan Rico swing
Dang, was thinking of going to this.
saludos
Why is almost everyone just sitting?! 🙈 I would have to be up and dancing if I was there haha 💃🏽
because they became gringos
@@DearHumanity because it’s soo boring .. she played non popular Celia songs in the name of top guest dj
Because it was like 100° that day. That’s why she’s wearing a light sundress and little make up. Also, they don’t let the sound get very loud there because of the apartments nearby. It’s the same problem at the Hollywood Bowl, you can basically talk over the music. That shouldn’t happen with Salsa, Funk or Rock n Roll music.
@@jaim449All of Celia’s stuff from the 70’s is swinging I don’t know what you’re talking about.
Nooo waaaayyyyyy!!!!
Hi Gia! When are you coming back to LA?! Would love for you to stop by one of our performances… Son Mayor

Que sabrosura pero el baile debería estar al frente no al lado mis Angelinos :)
S t r a n g l e d a u d i o 😂 😂
why wouldn't they hire a group there are plenty of kick ass salsa bands in LA
Gia Fu is a sort of cultural archaeologists.
Also, a group is 1000 plus, a dj cost 200 tops!
There are so many top DJs in LA and one of the worst DJs ever as she missed and did not play the most popular songs of Celia Cruz when the event title is Tribute to Celia Cruz...
Your tripping ! GIA HIT THE spot! Played all the good rhythm she is far from mediocre which sounds like what you were expecting LOL
@@homewith_helen Not like a live band this is just listening to someone's play list
Why would she play the popular Celia Cruz songs if there was already a band that was going to perform those songs?
Some people like to complain about anything just to see their name in print.
As always boring guys who don’t attend events talk about how to be DJ …. People attending the event came because of Celia Cruz… this is not a promo event where Celia is selling a new song to play non-popular songs … it’s a free event meant to bring happiness to people .. many DJs are lost in differentiating their identity vs what people want

Merci beaucoup Gia
