that would be depends on building design, wind speed, building area and height. You can not decide to use the diameter of the rod with single parameter 20m span. you should have above information to design the brace rod, then finally conclude that which diameter of brace is needed for the building.
you should left click on mouse and drag from left to right to cover point then only point will be selected, just refer the video step by step. if you drag form right to left then point and column both will selected.

How we weld that rodbracing backup plate with beam in component no manual welding.
With out explode component
Select object in component option at bottom of screen then do manual welding, if needed.
