Hero Xtreme 160R 4V - Average mileage test.
In this video, I test the real-world mileage of the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The bike has completed only 250 kms and hasn't had its first servicing yet, so this gives us a good idea of what to expect in terms of fuel efficiency for a new bike.
Test Details:
Bike Model: Hero Xtreme 160R 4V
Condition: New (Only 250 kms completed)
Servicing: 0 (First service pending)
Distance Covered: 49 kms
Fuel Consumed: 1.36 litres
Fuel Cost: ₹134.35
Average Speed: 80-90 kmph
With these conditions, the bike delivered a mileage of 36.03 kmpl. For a brand-new bike, this result is normal, and the mileage is expected to improve after the break-in period and regular servicing.
Also, I've taken permission from the bike owner to test the mileage again after the first servicing, so stay tuned for the follow-up video to see how the performance changes!

Autocar long termer bike returned around 31km/l in mumbai traffic .Its low considering its a 4v bike..
Yep! I'll test it again after servicing.
It would have been ideal to achieve at least 40 kmpl, but the current mileage is slightly lower. However, after the first servicing, it's likely to improve.
When Any bike is reved automatically mileage decreases, if you ride bike at optimum speed bike will definitely give its best mileage per/ kmpl😂😂
The 2V version has better mileage actually. I have heard it gets mileage of 48kmpl more or less .
The Hero xtreme 160r 2V has been relaunched with single disc brake version now because the 4v has shit mileage. They should also give it a rear disc single channel ABS variant for it. The sales haven't been so great for this bike thanks to Crappy aftersales service network and the bike having its share of problems since its launch. People actually prefer buying Hornet2.0, Gixxer 155 over it which are reliable options with good grunt and mileage for city use. Even when they are bit expensive or maybe in the same price bracket with less features. You Can't go wrong with the Japanese 160cc sports commuters even today.

Rightly said, the 2V model needs a Rear Disc Variant..... I also think that instead of 160 4V they could've launched it with Xpulse's 200cc 4v Engine.....
All Gyan Chand's in the comment section very conveniently missed the fact that inorder to make it the fastest bike in the segment, what Hero did is they shortened the gear ratios for quick acceleration. That's why its RPM at any given KPH is higher then its competition hence it consumes more fuel. If anybody is in the mindset that this will deliver same mileage as 2v then you are day dreaming. Both engines are significantly different with different gear ratio. So, if mileage is your priority DO NOT BUY.
my xtreme 160r4v returns 45.7km per litre(calculated tank to tank ) in city and winding ghat section roads. in city i get 41 kmpl.

N160 gives 50 mileage in city and 55+ in highways

@@yashb7871 its 9month old , 10k km on odo , 4 service done(500km,3500km,6500km,9000km)(first two service done at hero service centre and other service are done by me (because of poor service by hero))

I bought the same colour and model this Ganesh Chaturthi, Last week
completed 400 km and i'm getting mileage of 38, while driving very rough.
i am doing every start with quick acceleration and in high rpms.
i guess agar aaram se chalao ro 40+ is easily achievable.
i calculated on the basis of Reserve to Reserve. After first servicing i'll do full tank to full tank.
Bhai meri 42 de rahi hai. 6000 ka petrol dalwa chuka hoon 2 month mai. And 2510 km chala hai

i get 32-35 in my 2023 model and yes it's unacceptable. i am a daily office commuter and hit the highways during weekends. and this after 2-3 service mileage will increase is a myth at least for my machine.😢

As the owner of this bike, mileage is correct 34- 36. Pros - comfort for rider usually in city one of the best bike to ride and low service cost cons - pillion seat ,fuel indicator and universal hero bike issue of gear struck.

@@shantanupawar3609 Filling the tank completely isn’t really a problem with modern bikes. Leaving a little space rather than filling it to the brim is more of a precaution than an actual issue. Some riders do this to allow for fuel expansion in hot weather or to slightly reduce weight. However, for a mileage test or regular use, it’s perfectly fine to fill the tank to full capacity-just leaving a small gap is enough, not 1 or 2 litres less.So yes, you can definitely go for a tank-to-tank mileage test.But always remember, filling the tank isn't the issue-completely emptying it is a big problem in fuel-injected bikes. Never maintain low fuel levels, as this can lead to fuel injector failure and other issues. Always keep at least 2 litres of petrol in your bike to avoid such problems.
