"...and that's the end of the film." No, no, no, now she's got a CRUSH on her DOCTOR!
Ohh, did I miss that? That happens in EVERY one of these films. 🤣🤣
Well who could resist the charm of Gary Elwes? After all, unlike most Robin Hoods, he’s the only one with a British accent...
There are some BBC versions….but I wouldn’t recommend them.
That was before her rise in popularity on Clueless. 💛✨
Yeah, that made her a star. I think I first remember her as the girl in there 90s Aerosmith videos.
@@JayHarangue SAME HERE
It’s Clarence Boddicker!! Love Robocop and that 70s show
The original Robocop is a classic. Clarence was such a good baddie.
So basically, the movie ends with Batgirl being sent to Arkham Asylum for having older men fetishes?? Got it.
Correct! 😂
Poison Ivy's pheromones must have entered Batgirl's brain and made her love men just like Ivy
It's a good job that Adrian lent Nick Wuthering Heights and not Lolita!
🤣🤣
It occurs to me that if we could somehow create an app that provided real-time commentary using Jay's voice and logic in response to things said near it then the world could be spared so much twaddle. Imagine if Amy (1:04) were to hear Jay's comment? Another great review of yet another movie I never got around to watching...yet.
Haha. I love a “grow up” 😂
OMG, JAY! I saw this movie when I was younger! It scared the crap out of me! And fun fact: Did you know that the original name of Alicia Silverstone's character was Darien? But they changed the name because at the time of the movies release, there actually was a young girl just her age whose name was Darien!
Yes!! I found out today. It’s based on the true story of the director’s experience with the real Darian Forrester.
You can actually hear and see when they’ve overdubbed the name.
@@JayHarangue WHAT?! I thought it was just the name that was the same! I had no idea this was based on a true story! How come it didn't say so in the disclaimer when it came out?
Apparently, the girl sued after the theatrical release so some early VHS tapes still have her name on it.
@@JayHarangue Pfft. Figures. I'll bet the real family got called out a lot for their bat-shit insane "pwecious widdle girl." 🤢
Great video dude.
Appreciate it!
I guess this is like gender-reversed version of "You better watch out" or rather "You better watch out" is gender-reversed version of "Crush". Although babysitter there was much more clever and careful than Cary Elvis character.
Oooh, what’s this “you better watch out”? Who’s in it?
A lot of knocking one out Nick 🤣
4:39 How the fuck will he get the carousel out of the attic???
🤣🤣🤣
Good question.
Brilliant 👍 Thanks for doing my suggestion
Thanks for the suggestion. Sorry I forgot to mention and tag.
@@JayHarangue oh God don't worry's mate. Seeing the film reviewed is enough. Great work as always
This movie is way better than it has any right to be lol.
Oh definitely. One of the few I enjoyed watching.
When I was younger, I had a serious crush on Alicia Silverstone...
I think everyone did. The Aerosmith video started it.
@@JayHaranguefor me it was Batman & Robin (1997) (I hate that movie too)
@michaelharrisjr Yeah, it wasn’t the best. 😂
In the words of My Girl: "There were just too many bees!"
What a moment that was! 🥹
What a punch 🤣🤣
Ludicrous 🤣🤣
Did a whole Falcon Punch.🤣
BTW, her name is Darian, not Adrian
There are two different versions of this movie. Apparently they had to change it from Darian to Adrian because the girl who it was based on’s real name was Darian and she kicked off about it:
Love this film. 14😬😬
Normally you can say “well the ACTRESS is 18”. Sadly she was 15 in this.
Hi Nick 😂😂
Hiiii
I miss ole dayz!!!
We all do. 🥲
Sooo many softcore cuts lol
😂😂
I mainly use clios from movies I’ve recapped. I’ve done a LOT of those movies.
The film called the crush that came out in 1993 is about writer nick Eliot moves to a new city for a magazine job and rents a room in the house of cliff and liv Forrester, whose 14 year old daughter, Adrian, instantly makes her attraction to nick Eliot clear. While nick romances photographer Amy Maddik at work, he has trouble feeling off Adrian’s advances. As her obsession with nick Eliot grows, Adrian becomes angry at being rejected and starts attacking his property and friends.
... it's certainly implied LOLZ
I’ve done a couple where they’re actually SHOWN it happen! 😂
@@JayHarangue wowser
I say fine bottle of wine Jay!!
You don’t give someone a gift, then tell them how good it is!!
What was it that made producers want to plumb the depths of psycho stalkers and serial killers on the other end of the phone or the man who gets entwined with a young controlling bitch from hell. Have you ever seen Jay Gary Sherman's 1989 thriller trash fest Lisa? The serial killer has the most unoriginal name ever concieved by a scriptwriter, the Candlelight Killer. There's some sort of enjoyment from watching Silverstone and Elwes go for broke at each other. The Crush could've been like Lisa, but instead the film elevates itself to the status of being marginally creative in its thriller pacing. Alan Shapiro gives the the film above average direction that actually animates the actors like a Manga cartoon on speed. Bruce Surtees cinematography is just as inticing and persuasive as Miss Silverstone's sexual undertones. Naughty but nice. The Crush could've been another has been Hollywood TV Movie or a flash in the pan like Lisa. Morgan Creek did well. Bad Moon, The Crush and everyone's favourite malevolent psychopathic Batman, Michael Keaton in Pacific Heights.
Pacific Heights was excellent. I’ve not seen Lisa -sounds like I dodged a bullet. 🤣
@JayHarangue Sherman had a hit and miss affair with films. Some love Sherman's Poltergiest III or Dead and Buried with its twisty tale of the dead. Sherman's other nod to the flesh eating horror was Death Line. Underground workers were trapped and cut off from the suburban sprawl of London circa 1972. It's good fun, but it's not to everyone's favour. Cheers.
@@JayHarangueIn 1992 we got The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, Basic Instinct, Single White Female, The Crush, The Temp, and Poison Ivy.
And a real life teen girl from Long Island inspired three TV movies.
I disagree Nick did give her a ride to her practice
He was ASKING for it! 🤣
He is the bad guy ?? YEAH sho 😎🖕....
" Grass on the field, Play Ball!!" 😎👅
Wow!! That’s an expression I’ve not heard for a while. 😂
I’m so interested in the real story and how this director actual molested a kid
From what I heard, the real girl’s crush was as far as it went. But it’s Hollywood….so who knows
Love Alicia!!❤
do a worst movie called the garbage pail kids movie 1987
Oh my GOD! That’s terrible! I’ll add it to my list. 😂😂
💙her in the blue bikini
And in the pink swimsuit
PARDON ME, BUT WHAT FATHER, OTHER THAN CREEPY JOE, SAYS, "My daughter has really blossomed. Physically."
I know!!! Unbelievable
0:06 BRUH thats fuckin' BATGIRL!!!!!
That seemed to be the role that made her effectively disappear! 😔
3:26 OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SWEET JEEZUZ! BATGIRL IS WAITING THERE READY TO TURN ON "MURDER MODE!"
7:28 THERE IT IS!
Batgirl and the wasps.
