It is a shame for the place to close down. I live in the neighborhood. Now they've painted everything white, new gas pumps installed- it's now a Conoco. So new life for that property - a good thing.

In Gilbert, Arizona, where I am, there was a restaurant called "Gonzo's" (former Arizona Diamondback's player) in the downtown area, I ate there once, and my wife and I knew that it would be a flop, and it was out of business in a short time. At least these sports players are trying to make a wise business investment, sometimes it works, and sometimes, it doesn't work out. Almost right next door where "Gonzo's" was, Shaquille O' Neal (sp?) opened up, two years ago "Shaq's Big Chicken" outlet, and their food is excellent! John Elway (Denver Bronco's former quarterback), went to the same high school as I, in Granada Hills, Ca. I was a class of '75 grad, and he was class of '79 grad, so never knew him personally, but they renamed the track area stadium at the school after him. Great vlog, Jordan!!
I do remember that episode Jordan but these kind of businesses are just novelty fronts where they hope to capitalize on their fame or name but they never last.
Don Drysdale’s Dugout. A bar in Van Nuys, CA back in the 1960s. I think it was on Oxnard Street about a block east of Van Nuys boulevard if my old man memory serves me well?!
Magic Johnson should look at his Theater in Landover MD. It has gone down. The help is horrible food doesn't taste good. Expensive. Outside trashy leaves everywhere, and this was in the spring 😮
Around 1990 I was at Fenway Park sitting in the cheap seats right behind Jose . There were two young guys in front of me tormenting him. Jose ignored it until one of them said something about his mother xxx .. he turned around and dropped his glove and said c’mon!! One of the kids, with shaved heads, yelled ‘f’ you!! The entire crowd busted out laughing. So cool! Typical Boston back in the day!😂🇺🇸
Jose is an interesting guy. I recently found out that he was in a MMA tournament in Japan about 20 years ago. Haha. He didn't win a single match during the tournament. I do respect the fact that he tried though.
Jordan him not doing your interview for free. Is like when I mailed you and Scott Micheal's the board game me and my kids developed and just wanted to see what would happen with you exposing it a little bit.. I'm that guy...but I still watch your channel.
I didnt have a mailing address until this year, so i dont know where you sent it. I also havent played a board game since i was 6, so it wasnt probably something that had anything to do with what i vlog.. kinda like someone being upset at me for not vlogging a tennis tournament when ive never shown interest in tennis..
I had the unlimited car wash package there for a while. I'd get Del Taco next door and eat at the picnic table area while they finished the hand wash. The job they did on my car was never amazing, but alway acceptable.
Imagine letting a baseball bounce off your head as a homerun, and STILL thinking you can charge $80 for a carwash. What's next Bill Buckners hotdog stand outside the stadium.
Canseco first 40/40 guy, deserves to be in the HOF, his numbers are good enough. The other criteria how did you contribute to Baseball and Canseco had the biggest contribution of all time, Bud Selig was weak and Canseco cleaned up Baseball’s F’ing Cheating single handily and was Blackballed bc of it and falling just short of the 500 HR club. Screw Bonds and put in Canseco.
Somebody needs to tell these athletes to just put their investment money in a total stock market index fund and leave it there. They would end up way better off.
These MLB & NFL guys always LOSE millions on these car wash "investment" endeavors. There's a myriad of pro athletes believing this type of business venture will be a cash cow. Little Lenny Dykstra was a classic example of someone who initially made money on the car wash operation . The cars along with the revenue quickly dissolved and his rapid financial downfall commenced. . . . . . . . . 💧 🚘 💧 --- 👎
It was too expensive for a car wash!!
The sign inside made me laugh , Hot dogs and Tamales . What a combination ! Thank you .
Quintessential Vegas
$80 for a car wash and 45 minute wait. All the signs of a bad movie. No wonder it went belly up
Great video and thanks for all the adventures you take us on Jordan!!
Most car washes do a horrible job. You pay 20 to 40 dollars, more for SUV’s and your alloy wheels are still dirty.
..Memories of yesterdays...Thank you for this insightful view of a carwash business.
Thanks for letting us tag along on your awesome adventures!
Really enjoyed your reminiscences as you toured the car wash. Many thanks Jordan for another entertaining episode.
His house in Las Vegas used to be owned by one of my good friends in-laws

I remember working a baseball movie that was being in Michigan and Ohio that was supposed to feature José. He didn't show up.
Everybody hates Canseco for coming out and telling the truth about steroids in baseball lol. Then 100% of everything he said was true. 😂.
I agree.. i feel like its been going on forever... getting an advantage in one way or another..

Odd place to invest your money? IN a car wash? LOL This was a good one you can find them!
Thanks again for sharing Jordan and Jah
Thanks Jordan for sharing this, i used to collect his cards in the late 80s still have them in my collection in a binder. ⚾
How about the Lenny Dykstra car wash or Joe Dimaggio restaurant? Your videos are great!
Athletes and restaurants seem to almost never work.
Got my car washed there a few times you are correct expensive and not a great wash .

Shaq is going to end up owning half the country. He's a better businessman than basketball player.
@@71jolanc Great for him, and us, that patronize his fine establishments!!
Sorry to hear it's closed. I guess he lost interest in it. Thanks for showing us around. Take care.

Isn't he still alive?
@@letithms6982Unfortunately no.
I've been in Las Vegas all my life and I never heard of that place until I drove by it last spring and saw his name on the faded sign.
Very interesting, didn't know he once ran a Car Wash, sorry it didn't go so well. ⚾️🚗
I do remember that episode Jordan but these kind of businesses are just novelty fronts where they hope to capitalize on their fame or name but they never last.
Is it still in business? No way Jose!
Thanks for sharing…!
I talked to Jose at the car wash a couple times. This was a cool place. I bumbed to see it go down.
I remember when he was selling autographed baseballs and car wash T-shirts well I guess that car wash went belly up just like Jose Canseco
Dang seen better days...
He was one of my favs for the A's
Great video Jordan
Those signs are worth money
I remember when you did the first video. Those are some cool signs left behind.
The originality of your subject matter is 10/10!
Hey Jordan! Great video. Loved Canseco as a kid. Also, Can you share who made your video intro? Well done!
Don Drysdale’s Dugout. A bar in Van Nuys, CA back in the 1960s. I think it was on Oxnard Street about a block east of Van Nuys boulevard if my old man memory serves me well?!
That was it!
wish I could meet or write once to Sandy he and the late Johnny R were my two fav Dodgers when I was a kid
Do you know if he had a Car Wash in Simi Valley?
Thanks for the awesome video
Wow. "What's your budget!" That took me by surprise!
Rest in Peace Jose.
Me and my husband went back in July and found it was closed. I had seen your vlog from a few years ago so I wanted to go.
The car wash turned out to be a wash.

You didn't ask enough questions about HIM. I love Canseco, but one thing for sure, he loves himself more 😂

At 3:30 is that an old Photo Hut shack ? Sometimes they're still around hiding in plain sight.
Cool video. Canseco was one of the greatest sluggers in Baseball despite the steroids.
Got to see him play in Modesto, he was tall and lanky before the steroids 😅
Jose is an interesting guy. I recently found out that he was in a MMA tournament in Japan about 20 years ago. Haha. He didn't win a single match during the tournament. I do respect the fact that he tried though.
Would have been cool to have him sign one of those signs. I have seen him the last 3 yrs and have a ton of stuff that is signed.
This was the best gas station that ever exists. I featured it in my videos a lot. Very sad to see it go.
I agree! Pretty awesome
This is so unusual! LOL 😂 Thanks Jordan 😂👍
I remember the other vlog, hopefully someone can make it viable again.

Driven by a million times but never stopped in.
😂this goofy ball though that he could get a free interview with Jose 😂😂😂

Sounds like cars weren't the only thing they were washing at that place...
ah its near the lot lizard hotel orleans! when did it shut down?
Maybe he thought is was easy after watching Breaking Bad ?
where was this in vegas? is it near the strip?
So sad
I remember when he opened this. lol

It wouldnt fit in my car
ESPN 30 for 30: Broke (on Netflix) 2 biggest bad investments for pro and ex-pro athletes...restaurants and...ta da...car washes.
Fizzled out like his career
Jose Canseco was 👑.
His car wash was as good as him having a child with Madonna.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Imagine letting a baseball bounce off your head as a homerun, and STILL thinking you can charge $80 for a carwash.
What's next Bill Buckners hotdog stand outside the stadium.
Canseco doesn't do interviews for free anymore VLADTV had to fork out some duckets 💵 for his interview
If you watch the TV Show Breaking Bad you'll understand why people invest in car washes
Well if Jose can be in the hall of fame, so should Pete Rose.
Hes in oakland a's hall, and pete is in reds hall.

Hey Jordan do they have Pete Rose fennel yet if you are going to do a video about him going to his grave site
I played ball with Ozzie and Jose. For as conceited as they were, they sure could play ball.

maybe he forgot to pump the steroids into this car wash lol
Didn’t he do a lot of steroids
yes along with some other ball players
Man, Canseco was my favorite baseball player when I was a kid. Glory days for the Oakland A’s in the 80’s
