I Don't Think I'm Diggin This Makima, Shibuya Scramble Figure 1/7 Estream Unboxing and Review

- I was highly anticipating this figure because there aren't too many Makima figures announced, but I guess, due the to character design of CSM, this figure didn't stand out very much. I'm not saying Estream is incapable, it's just that there's not too much you can do with a Shirt and Pants.
So, really there are other prize figures of Makima that is close to 1/7 scale. It is really unfortunate but I rather buy those.

That's a nice figure, well made but the base looks really cheap

@@oricebucket I don't know maybe it is just me watching it from the video but I think they should start to make better bases for expensive figures.

Even though I hate Makima, I thought the figure was beautiful but it's a very high price per prize, my favorite is also the power one. good video friend

Why is there only 1 face? I saw some people opening boxes with alternate faces. I hate manufacturers who give priority to some places that have included gifts, and some places that don't.
Unfortunately when I ordered it from Amiami, it didn't mention anything about the faceplate. But, when I ordered from my local vendor, I got the bonus faceplate, when I purchased a different figure. My local vendor is a official distributor. I believe only some vendors are entitled to the bonus and it can be very very irritating. But I have since not be too bothered about it because I lose some of the parts I keep and never bother to see them again.
However, I'm not advocating that we should be fine with not having the bonus. In fact, everyone should have the bonus. I think this is really a bad practice. I can't condone it, so actually, I'm seeking alternatives from other sources, especially with how chinese studios now also have licenses to Japanese IPs. I'm sorry, but I didn't get the faceplate for this.
@@oricebucket Totally agree with you. I also often store accompanying accessories without paying attention. But collectors are willing to spend more money to receive more gifts. Manufacturers send exclusive gifts to some dealers, making collectors feel disrespected, spending money to buy products but receiving incomplete products, that feeling is very unpleasant for all collectors.
@@Pine19900 The word "disrespect" is really well said. You collect a lot too I suppose? I think I will try to stay away from figures that do not have different versions for us to purchase. Yea, I felt really bad about not having the face sculpt too. Since I believe it is the same price.
Painting job is good & of quality.
Should get what u really liked. Happened to see Power from Claynel, was captivated by the diorama and posture. I like the effect, blood material , etc. Unsure about its quality, maybe you can show it here if you getting it.

I also feel Power more interesting, Makima figure looks like younger than teenager, find her rather petite in frames. Small girls like to have braided hair too… 🤭

yo budy i relly liked the figure, i am actually a collector of makima figure, so a guess i will have to buy this one. Sad to see that its so expensive😭nice video btw🤓
If it was not a special gift, I would have given it to you. I would say the quality is very good. I just looked at it. I hope you get yours soon! Perhaps wait for it, it might be cheaper after some time.
Probably just me but I do like this Makima (for her face) the most - which I feel other manufacturers are not quite there.
It also seems to be an ongoing complaint over at the resin statues scene where people want a better representation of that coldblood and ruthlessness. I actually find that to be really challenging since Makima is often expressionless and I feel like manufacturers will continue to struggle with such intepretation. Where it is hard to nail the eyes of Tifa, I say its almost as hard to nail Makima's 'expression', needing to rely on the totality of her posture and eyes/lips.
That's a really nice observation. I think I can incorporate that kind of perspective in my future videos, to enjoy the likeness of the face to the anime. I think sculptors and most professionals seem to have a great challenge tackling the needs of people as the years progress. I find your comment very interesting and I look forward to see sculptors make dynamic facial expressions that clearly reflects the characters' emotions. Wow. Splendid! @WayneLLC

I just learned that figures can only last under 10 years before they turn yellow or damaged. you have such many crazy expensive collections, what will you do about that?
Thank you so much for the well wishes it is so heart warming. Yes, they do last that amount of time depending on luck. I have disposed of a few figures, sold figures but upon inspection got returned, but I must say i still have some figures that are way beyond 10 years. I guess I should make a video on that in due time! Thank you.
For my collection, honestly, after it fills up enough space, I usually just try to pass it on to people who have interest in them, probably take some pictures of them for memory.
@@oricebucket right right, i do some research on youtube and most people said if you want that figure because you fall in love with it, BUY it. don't care about something in the future, you have to enjoy in current, there are anyways new and better things for you in the future.

Guess it’s more for fan with the price paid. I would like it without blood stains, feel it’s damaging the figure image unless there’s monster in its diorama.
