Me again Paula, thanks for this video. I have the ruler but have not had a chance to use it. It was fun watching you stitch out the flower. Going to try this out tomorrow.
Love the video. Thanks for the information on how to use this on a sweet sixteen. Can't wait to give it a try. Your video was so helpful. Got to Love You Tube.
Paula, you mention that you are lining up with the center of the ruler. Are you using any of the straight lines that are also on the ruler for lining up the petals. Are you using a solid line with a dashed line?
Hi Cyndi, I was lining up the centre line and also the lines through the 'humps'. I was also keeping an eye on the ends of the ruler and making sure they were an even distance from my drawn line. You need 3 points of reference to keep it lined up straight, but don't stress too much about it. You'll get the knack of it after the first pair of petals :) Have fun! Hugs Paula
There is a difference in height between the table and the machine itself, making it hard to do ruler work. They rock up and down, how would I compensate for this? Scary to use them.....
Paula, I have used the HQ rulers, both straight and wave, but I have a Top Anchor ruler that I am having trouble with. they need to be so close to the face plate, that they wobble and cause irregularities in the stitches because there is a gap between the face plate and the table overlay. Any suggestions?
I'm so sorry your having troubles but unfortunately I've never used or even heard of that brand so I can't offer any advice... are you having the same trouble with the Handi Quilter rulers?

Ahhhh, so nice. I love it! I need more ruler practice.
Beautiful!
That flower looks like a pointsettia, would be just perfect for Christmas.......... Do that pink marking lines disappear completely?

Margaret Kancianic contact Handi quilter for the replacement feet kit for the height adjustment.

I am having some difficulty with the HQ rulers, but I think I just need lots more practice with those. I may have to rethink using other rulers.
