Elmhirst Cyclekart GP 2023 Documentary

- The documentary video of the Elmhirst Cyclekart Grand Prix of 2023, held at Elmhirst Resort in Keene, Ontario, Canada. Near the city of Peterborough.
The Elmhirst Grand Prix is the largest official cyclekart event east of the Rockies. It is also one of the few North American events where genuine racing is allowed. In 2023, the event consisted of a time trial competition (fastest single lap), a concourse d'elegance contest and a 2.4 hour "Cyclekart Lemans" endurance race.
Time Trials: Each CK gets 15 minutes on track to post the fastest possible lap.
Concourse D'Elegance: Spectators, volunteers and the racers themselves vote for their favorite CK in 3 categories; "Best Technical Achievement"; "Most Resembles Inspiration Car"; and "Best Overall Craftsmanship".
2.4 Hours Cyclekart Lemans: Complete with a traditional Lemans start (the first CK event to incorporate one), racers complete as many laps of the street course as possible within 2 hours and 24 minutes (2.4 hours).

@@andrewroudny No, but I wish! I was visiting good friends in NY State back in Sept and got to see some action at Watkins Glen Historic races. I looked for Kobus there, saw his Porsche but missed the man - darn. Wish he’d brought the ‘Beast’ there too!

I wish we had this in Romania, the closest thing to this that we have is Go Karts
There are CK groups in Europe, including Hungary. Look around on Facebook and you should find their group.

Well I don't want to embarrass anyone in front of EVERYONE but you certainly are easier to catch when you're on 3 wheels. I'd love to come, I'll see if I can sell it to the family.

BTW, I just realized that Kobus broke a wheel in the hairpin this year, so now the Wheel Eater is responsible for 2 wheels eaten!

Karts are cool. Music.............not so much.I lasted 8 min & went to find other kart vids where I can hear the engines without gangsta rap.
Fair enough. I was going to do a music-less version as well.
Btw, there is no gangsta rap on there anywhere. Wait till roughly the halfway mark. Some good rock and roll too.
