I mean, he didn't? That only happened with Breaking The Bank, since it was the most barebones. Hell, it didn't even have a fail screen originally. What he did with Prison, Diamond, Airship, and Complex was that he redid every background from scratch, changed the lighting filters, and up-rezzed whatever he didn't redo. You can tell from how Henry's drawn in Prison especially, and the RADICALLY improved backgrounds and ambiance in Diamond. Still a crazy amount of work, still a total nostalgia pick for me, still an internet classic. Henry Stickmin for Smash. Let him rep flash gaming.

Considering this section has the grid selection seen in tactical games, the tank at 2:18:28 is a direct reference to Advance Wars, and the enemy with the sword at 2:18:44 is a direct reference to Fire Emblem, specifically FE7 on GBA. Fun fact: Both of these series are made by Intelligent Systems. Talking about the FE reference, the animation of Henry stabbing the guy with a sword is a parody of the combat animations from the GBA FE games. The player would be on the right side of the screen with their name in blue while the enemy would be on the left side with their name in red. The player would slowly pull out the sword after stabbing, and the enemy would then slowly fade away. Even the music in this part is a cover of the battle theme from FE7. Interestingly, I’ve tried watching plenty of other TH-camrs who played Henry Stickmin, and I’ve found literally just two TH-cam channels who knew this was a Fire Emblem reference: The NyanCave & 2 Left Thumbs.

This game felt like it was a good pick for Nico, and I wouldn’t blame you if I didn’t know about this game and someone told me Nico wrote this. This game is so funny and silly for what it does and I’m glad to see one of my favorite TH-camrs checking out what was a part of my childhood. Why? Because Daddy Kiryu is the best daddy by far in 3. But it would be best to not spoil it too much except that it may have more Substories than 0 (you’ll need a walkthrough for them since they are so damn confusing)

This was such a fun stream. I’m so glad Nico got to experience this with the Picky Penguins. This game felt like it was a good pick for Nico, and I wouldn’t blame you if I didn’t know about this game and someone told me Nico wrote this. This game is so funny and silly for what it does and I’m glad to see one of my favorite TH-camrs checking out what was a part of my childhood. Glad I could come around to the stream, I normally don’t come around often, and I’m usually not present for a lot of the stream. This was one where that wasn’t the case.
This was a joy to watch live with you nico and seeing all your reactions to it during twitch.

Geeez, henry almost has komaeda levels of bullshit. Maybe even ramped up to 11. He gets just as many benefits with twice of the downsides. Also, it seems logic only applies to Henry when it’s inconvenient for him. In general, I love this crazy game.

Aside from that you will run into someone that I really love, he’s like Shinji in a way. But it would be best to not spoil it too much except that it may have more Substories than 0 (you’ll need a walkthrough for them since they are so damn confusing)
