I am a Raiders fan from Australia. I grew up in Ireland and NFL started to become popular there on TV in the early 80's. The Raiders v Redskins superbowl was the first big game and all my friends seemed to like the Redskins. I liked the pirate logo and the silver and black so that's when I became a Raiders fan and have loved the Raiders ever since. I got to see them play in Seattle back in the early 2000's while on a holiday. On a work trip to New Orleans in 2003, I had a stopover in LA so I drove down to San Diego the night before the game just to savour the Super Bowl atmosphere. Luckily I did not get to the game! Anyway, love the Raiders and loving the new AP team. I hope to get to Vegas soon to see a game.

I remember when I first saved up for my first Raiders tailgate and game ticket against the patriots. I walked aimlessly through the crowd and other tailgates. I stopped at one spot because their ribs looked good as hell. The guy and I struck up some small talk and told him it was my first Raiders game.
