I’ve been in judo for over two decades and footsweeps have always been my favorite. They can save your ass in a street situation too. Great video. 😎🥋🤙🏾
My first martial art was Judo and decades later I became a record-breaking wrestling coach largely because I integrated Judo techniques! A lot of people were using Judo and didn't even know it thus they were surprised to find out the technique they were using had a name and had been developed hundreds of years ago in Japan!
i can't believe how much effort you put into these videos, thank you so much for sharing all this information. by far the best wrestling channel on youtube
Thank you i recently gave up on footsweeps because the videos i watched weren't helping. But this one has lots of well explained content, you could have sold this one
Thank you very much! I am going to be starting a online course soon just want to make sure it's really good. Still going to continue to put killer videos on youtube too!
@@ironfaithwrestlingwhats your thoughts on how people are attempting foot sweeps in BJJ? A lot of it looks like straight up leg kicks that are just not penalized because the refs can't be bothered to control striking.
@@Alex-xg5gc I have to look into it a little bit more, but I definitely am not a fan of just kicking peoples legs. I like getting the timing down. Very satisfying to hit a foot sweep without much effort.
@@dicksonnakatoshi I actually am gonna be creating a course where I organize all my content do weekly calls, match review and have some bonus content in there! Super excited about it!

I tried to practice footsweep so the first one wassticky foot after two on one but my partenrs foot was rooted firmly on the ground i couldnt scoop it up hmm any advice?
@@ironfaithwrestling was making my way down the instructional playlist, I'll skip to this. Appreciate it. Every video I've watched so far has been gold 👌

Hi, do you have a large group of documents of everything you've studied in wrestling? Notes of all the details, etc. If so, and you're willing to talk about it, I was curious to how long you've been working on it at this point? And how big is it?
I created a 127 page book for my athletes with everything organized including strength training nutrition practice notes and some other stuff. Working on getting everything organized in to an online course! Want to make sure it's killer before putting it out
Never happen against a properly trained wrestler. Only works against opponents who don’t get lower and have poor footwork and don’t dominate leverage. Cute tricks against weaker untrained newbies 😂

Hi everyone
Why you wrote its judo moves?
Graeco-Roman was earlier but we don't say their throws in judo
I just put judo because that’s where I learned the techniques from
Tricky lil foot sweep is always fun to hit they are so technical
For sure!
Do you know where I could find videos of your college wrestling matches?

yeah but wrestling is the older sport , so judoka do footsweeps from wrestling
Wrestling is way better than Judo!
Inaccurate title. Wrestling is thousands of years older than judo. This is just wrestling.

Yeah anyone who cheaps on ammo has no say on a gun review. Cycle cycle cycle
?
