You should have a 3 pc assortment called “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” where you have three peppermint patties, but coated in different chocolates-dark, milk, and white! Everyone I’ve ever spoken to about that movie prefers one character over another, but loves them all at the same time. The same could be said about chocolate.
I love your videos. Not only is it great to watch the process of making candy the old fashioned way, but because it’s being presented by such a kind and thoughtful group of people is what makes your videos all the more special. :D It’s awesome seeing a family dynamic that ‘works’ on so many levels.

I was watching one of Hercules Candy videos last night and my son walked into my room to show me some funny thing on TH-cam. After he was done showing me his funny video, I asked him to watch a snipet of the video I was watching before he came in my room. He got this look on his face and said “you watch candy making videos? I watch candy making videos, too!” He showed me the ones he watches and it’s Lofty Pursuits! I had to show him y’alls collar video. He was so amazed that we both watch candy making videos. I was a little bit, too. It was a funny moment. 😂

John Wayne's last movie was The Shootist (?) ( I was in junior high I gradutated in 77" )in which he dies of cancer and he did pass away in 79". I remember I was devastated, loved that man. I have seen all of his movies and he was never in one with Clint Eastwood they were both the same kind of actor tall and tough always got the bad guys, loved them both still watch their movies.

You guys should be wearing N95 masks for the cornstarch work. They are $50 but not disposable and they are certified for particulates. The masks you have are not enough when you work regularly with "dust."

This looked SO good! The weird thing is I don't like dark or white chocolate but put together I love it. 😁 I think I'm gonna give it a try with the mint chocolates I can buy here in the Netherlands. Who knows how that will turn out. 😉

in a way this makes me sad, growing up we had 4 or 5 candy shops around where i live, all of them are closed because people preferred the pricing of mass produced stuff, i really miss all the small imperfections and how you could almost taste the love and passion that went into making these great treats, i wish we had another shop around here, all we have now is a damn walmart and fuckin oreos

I have never seen Steve be this rough with the creams so when I saw how Max was handling them, I knew he would either lose some in the tray or in the tub hehehehe
If you mark the tops of them a bit, like a paw, you could call them "Polar Bear Paws"

Ok I'm a John Wayne expert have most of his movies and have seen them all. Client Eastwood was never in a movie with him. His last movie was the shootist and that was around the time of Dirty Harry and John Wayne had retired because he had cancer.

These Look good!😍 Peppermint is good for alot of uses. Belly aches, mosquito bites, teething (used very very diluted). I'd dust them with some fine grated coconut or chocolate, and stick some chocolate chips on the edge for nails, and instant polar bear paws. Too cute♥️.

The only thing wrong with this video is that it isn't made in Colorado, so that I could scoot on down there to get some. Peppermint Patties are my favorite
There may be a reason why they don't do this but it seems like a cylinder tumbler would be a more efficient way of getting the corn starch off.

I am sorry I had usubcribed for awhile but, subscribing again these videos are just to fascinating! That cornstarch room is very interesting it's like going into an excavating for a rare dinosaur finding! Why do you have to put cornstarch on those white choc circles? And why do you have to hand coat the white chocolate? And can their be a white chocolate enrober? Like the chocolate one? Try to excuse my stupidness! Oh and please tell max to watch "jaws"! It is a great classic! I watched in a movie theater the original back in the 70s while we were on summer vacation on the Jersey shore! Do not recommend!! I think we only went wading level after that for the whole vacation! I am also impressed how you all can remember lines from movies and TV shows! Looking forward to the new store videos! Oh yeah those polar bear candies looked delicious I dont think I have ever seen candies like those! Craig I guess from a mom shopping video there maybe far less or very few? I enjoy those a great deal also! Uh changes..😥🙃
We use corn starch molds so that the candy doesn't stick like it would in a plastic mold. We don't use the enrober for white because we don't do enough volume in white to warrant changing the chocolate in the enrober so it's faster to do it by hand.

They could color white chocolate green & make a puddle the way Steve does for the bottom of the hollow bunnies. Green Lake Puddles. 😉 A few times in random videos they show how they clean up the chocolate from the table, but a chocolate puddle is a great idea. If it had the swirls in it, we could pretend to enrobe our own chocolates!
I have to have orange juice with my breakfast (im lactose intolerant) so I brush my teeth afterwards.

Question: Does the corn starch absorb any of the mint essence? When I make my mint cookies I must keep them separate from other favors cookies due to the cross over to other favors.
Not that we've noticed, corn starch doesn't pick up much flavor

Wrap your cookies in Saran or a freezer storage bag. Mint unless on the heavy flavored side, looses its flavor easily. Strawberry, lemon or other flavors should be light but, mint needs to be heavier in flavor.

The Producers were Italian and the Directors. They did make cheaper movies but literally Spaghetti Western, produced, directed filmed in Italy and NO Clint although I love him, never could outdo The Duke as far as Westerns.

Never once have I heard anything from dad and max about the cleaning of the enrober. Ten seconds into the woman standing in front of it and that’s the second thing she thinks of. It’s what I’ve been thinking this whole time too.

Just to let you know polar bear's fur has no color it takes on the reflection of where it is if it's in the grass polar bears look green if they're in the snow they look white
Not 100% true, they still look white (or off white) in zoos when their exhibit isn't snowy... But their fur is translucent and doesn't look white if there are just a few loose hairs.
