Yeah, trying to find a specific Touhou song cover is like trying to find a needle on a planet made of Hay. And also I've just realized that this isn't the song I was looking for. _fuck_
If you think about it, Flan is a really sad character. A little girl who has remained so for 500 years, and destroys everything she comes in contact with. She was made immortal much too young to be able to control or even understand it, and it's not like anyone can get close enough to try and teach her even if she could. So what are we left with? A basement and as little contact with the world as possible. Probably forever, since there aren't other options. Zun made her perfectly hopeless.
This is just so beautiful. This song makes you look inside yourself just to find emotions and feelings that you don't normally experience. It makes you reflect on your own life and think of the sad times that you have experienced or are about to experience. I normally keep emotions like that in check but music like this can bring down the walls holding my feelings back. When I listened to this I will admit I cried a little, but this shows that music can really reach out and touch your heart.
I litterally started crying after listening to this. It genuinely expresses the theme of this fragile yet frightning young vampire girl that was trapped in the basement for centuries. This, Screen, and Moonlight shines is simply beautiful and I feel a crater in my heart knowing so many in this generation cannot understand it.
@Najraxx I actually pictured that, and nearly began to cry, it was so saddening, then when the organ and bells amongst others kicked in I pictured flan standing up, as the music slowed down though, she quickly fell to her knees, and began to slam her fist to the ground, as she cried, blaming herself for her sisters death, not wanting to belive she was dead though she had to try and calm down, but couldn't no matter how hard she tried. and thats all I got for it.
@SurgicalZeal I totally understand. It feels like there's a hole in your heart. That missing part is your ability to feel. Rare gems like these are perfect for filling in the gap and reminding you of the feelings that you, as a person, should have. For the most part, emotions that I portray to my friends are just a facade to cover up the hollow shell that my heart has become. This song momentarily takes away that hollow feeling and, even though its sad, makes me happy just to feel something.
I can see her crying with an insane grin of wanting to be stopped but I cannot see her actually crying. This is heartbreaking, but this is the first step to being brought into the light. Allowing weakness to surface so that change may occur.
Something of a legend in the Touhou Franchise, with one of the most epic songs to her battle which captures her childish innocence and madness perfectly. She is also a nightmare to fight.
This needs to be in the soundtrack for an awesome tragedy version of Flandre's story. Like, there was this person she loved, and she killed him, too excited with his embrace, then, Remilia had to lock her up in order to keep her from harming anyone else, and I can hear this song in that moment when Flandre feels betrayed, and the door is locking her up in the basement... until... MASTER SPARK!
Can ANYONE stop arguing about fucking bronies??? And why are we fighting? Wasn't music designed to bring people together? And p.s. we should all just shut up and listen to this awesome music. We should just respect whatever we like, not deal with it here, and actually comment about the VIDEO. Not other people's likes or prejudices. Thank you. Plus, this has NOTHING to do with My little pony.
Flandre is simply emotionally unstable. As a result, she's usually seen scary. And to me, deadly. But that's somewhat true. Because of her literal destructive powers, she is dangerous. A combination of that and emotional instability is asking for death.
I'm imagining this theme playing as a FFXIV raid boss, after Flandre went through some tragic event and needs to be beaten by the Warrior of Light to bring her back to her senses
Estella Swagnila Maybe so but she's not ''locked'' in there anymore, she just rarely leaves the mansion, ie Marisa makes sure not to run into her and when she does she tries to sneak by and she's been spotted at parties at the Scarlet Devil Mansion by people who were invited and it's also implied she's a bit of a shut in and stays in there most often by her own choosing. Ya should read stuff like Perfect Memento In Strict Sense and and such as they're canon and spread some details about Flandre and her status at the Scarlet Devil Mansion because really, she isn't locked in there everyday against her choosing like most people think.
Whether you consider her a young girl, or a 500 year old with a youthful appearance, those eyes speak of a moment of sadness too extreme to leave uncomforted.
Death Waltz is a re-arrangement of U.N Owen Was Her?, the original extra stage theme for Flandre in Touhou Koumakyou (or better known as Touhou 6 - The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil)
@SurgicalZeal Well, if one bothers to read what ZUN actually wrote about Flandre and her past, one would see she isn't kept against her will, except for a couple of occasions. The Touhou Wiki has the EoSD manual with character sheets, Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red, and Perfect Memento in Strict Sense, all of which have lovely little tidbits of Flandre. Most of which contradict the typical fanonical portrayal.
this song makes me imagine a scene where Flandre, in an insane rage, breaks out of the mansion, destroys Gensokyo and sets it aflame, and comes back when all her "toys" are "broken" only to find that in her carelessness she had killed everyone. Reimu is dead. Marisa is dead. Sakuya and the maids are dead. And Remilia is dead. And upon finding this out Flandre bursts into tears at the irreparable damage she had wrought, and this song plays at her realization that it was all her fault.

So many years passed.
So many memories.
Great song.
フランの泣き顔可愛すぎ!
They made her wing gems look like fucking teardrops.
Leave my feels alone, damn it...
自らの手で大事なものを全て破壊してしまって、後悔と罪悪感で自分も完全に壊れちゃうフランちゃんって感じ
I need more touhou songs like this one
After many years I find this song again.
Man it was a pain. But I finally figured out what to do.
I feel your pain. I heard this on a MMV but couldn't find it
me to
+Drawing Robyn What was the name of the MMV and can it be found?
I'd really like to see it.
Yeah, trying to find a specific Touhou song cover is like trying to find a needle on a planet made of Hay.

this makes me cry
It's very hard to find a song as beautiful as this.. :)
Maybe be are too demanding
斯卡雷特露米婭 Nothing's wrong with having high standards.
It’s been 9 years since I heard this song last, I finally remembered the name after all this time

It's amazing how many different songs they can get from one song isn't it?
声が美しい
Wanna know how this song can be even more sad? Play it as funeral song....but...try dont cry if you do that.
The people who don't cry at they grandma's funeral: B O I I F Y O U D O N T-
I'm crying
oh god, this is so sad but amazing i can't -
Beautiful, calm and inspiring.
It's like floating in the clouds of heaven.
Great job, congratulations
Holy hell I haven't listened to this one in years, it's still incredible up to this day. Sounds so special, reminds me of Keichi Okabe in places

Her crystals too have become tears... The only difference left is the immortality, they will never be washed away.
聽到這首歌會讓我想哭
I LIKE
truly beautiful
it was so beautiful that it made Flandre cry. (no the picture isn't where I meant the joke... yes it was :l)

I think i found my perfect song of Flandre i listin over like...i dunno 100 versions mix's of U.N but this!...is just perfect!
I wanna hug her so badly! Plus, I love the song completely
aww, thank you. I didn't even know if I wrote it well because I'm italian and not so good at english. I guess that Frandoll did the trick ;-)
I get chills every time I listen to this song..
...Beautiful...

At first glance, you might see the pic as abit creepy. But as you listen, it totally changes your POV!!

she is rather sane canonically, just a little nuts in the head. in the sdm she'd be the usual troublemaker.
If there was another touhou anime involving Flan chan this song with a flashback of the past will be a perfect scene -w-
I'm imagining this theme playing as a FFXIV raid boss, after Flandre went through some tragic event and needs to be beaten by the Warrior of Light to bring her back to her senses
I hate seeing Flandra like this. I wonder why she's crying?
Someone took her snacks maybe, that's the face I would make
Hehe same
Being locked in the basement, for years on top of years, the feeling of being lonely and abandoned, isn't the greatest feeling.
That makes more sense
Estella Swagnila
Maybe so but she's not ''locked'' in there anymore, she just rarely leaves the mansion, ie Marisa makes sure not to run into her and when she does she tries to sneak by and she's been spotted at parties at the Scarlet Devil Mansion by people who were invited and it's also implied she's a bit of a shut in and stays in there most often by her own choosing. So being a troll is being right? Wow, I thought I could have some hope left for people like you... Well, thanks for proving me wrong!

I'm pretty sure that the Death Waltz is the base for the song. It's a re-arrangement.So yeah,it does ^^
Wait holy what I was going to quote this and then I looked at your screen name. ;-; wow.

This sounds like Kotoge Mai....Is this her 'oooo'ing? Whoever it is it's really beautiful o.O
No words to describe how this makes me fail. One of my favorites for sure
Check the Touhou wiki, Her official name is Flandre, but can also be called Frandle, Frandre, and Frandoll.
Darn it, this song finally appears after so long.
ok i linked you the song and thanks for the link i will check it out in a bit hope i can talk to u more later
This is such a pretty song :3 :3
I love the song but some parts of this song seems that Malon singing but I love the song and the image of Flanders also fascinates me.
Even her prism shard wings look like tears. Also I wonder how she's so powerful. Being out of sight from the sun, imagine how low she is on Vitamin D.
This song makes me feel bad for Flan, she seems like she needs a hug...
how can you not want to give her a hug
Flandre: .... I don't understand why I'm crying.. I'm really... happy....
Not really mentally unstable. You see, Flandre is the younger sister of Remilia Scarlet. Flandre has an extreme amount of power along with the ability to destroy anything by "crushing the eye". Remilia, fearing what her little sister could do, locked her away under the Scarlet Devil Mansion for 495 years. During her solitude she had no interaction with anyone, but the head maid Sakuya. Around the EotSD incident, the main protagonist stumbles upon Flandre.

I'll take it as a compliment if you truly think I am playing in character. I guess the acting career is open for me~

thousands and thousands years later Flandre knows that Marisa is far far away :'(
makes me feel bad for flandre, regardless of what shes done i sitll love her
