My great grandpa “Barny Bernard Brown wrote the woods to Life is like a mountain railroad. Originally it was written as a poem entitled The Psalm of life. He sold the rights to it in 1938 to a New York publishing firm for $300.00. Because he needed eye surgery.
I am 66 years old originally from Ohio. Bernard was from Pennsylvania. You can imagine how happy I was to learn of this in my 30s, as I am a Christian and often wondered who might’ve prayed for me.

I MET THIS GENTLEMAN IN 2008 IN WALSALL ENGLAND. EVERYTHING HE PORTRAYS ON THE STAGE, IS THE SAME GENTLEMAN AT THE BACK OF THE ROOM HAVING A CUPPA TEA AND A BISCIUT CHATTING TO ME. WE HAD MET BEFORE IN NEW ZEALAND.
