For those wondering about the map tactic I was using here it is: en.wottactic.com/wows It's what I've used throughout my years playing competitive in this game and is very helpful. You can invite multiple people to the same room and view the same map, adding different ships, arrows and repositioning things as a group.
This map is one of the favorite maps for WG to have an epicenter game. This is where the expression Tears of the Cruisers come from as the action is around the center of the map where there is no island to hide behind and cruisers do not have the range BBs have. You might want to add an addendum to this video to cover the epicenter situation.
@Potato Quality really appreciate these map looks. They go really well with your "How to think" ship vids. Only request is your minimap gets glared out easily. Any chance to reduce the opacity by a third or half? You get in a groove of an explanation and that mouse and minimap view angle just disappears. That external software look at things is the bomb diggity for these explanations. Thanks much for doing these and looking forward to more!!
Played today with tier 9 BB and positioned at G4. Enemies hide in the south and pushed in the north. About 6 minutes later our DDs were quickly dead, in the north was one of our ships remaining and fighting half the enemy fleet. I shoot one salvoe. 2 minutes later the match was over. I was able to shoot a second salvoe. I ended up at third position in team ranking:-)
One thing that happens frequently to me is that when the enemy ships are spotted for a long time, my team behaves as if they don't know who to shoot first and the fire power becomes less focused. Or my flank tends to push harder than needed which over-expose their ships. So there are still many things that can go wrong even when DD is doing a good job of spotting.
These guides are great. Could you consider a slightly different perspective? I'm playing as a DD, CL, CA, or BB on one of the six main spawn groups on the map. What's the "correct" play for me to make, as an opening move? The game is still full of players that do the strangest things in randoms, like sail across the map, or ask "plan?" and then lemming into two caps, etc.
I’m not sure what game this is. Your talking about spotting with DD, controlling caps with radar. Setting up crossfires. Teamwork? I thought this was a WOW vid. Whatever game this is... let me know. I can’t wait to play! Lol Really informative... I look forward always to your uploads.
On this map i like to put my GZ up to G5 and attack the enemy with 4 torpedo bomber squadrons. Its unlimited torpedo hits when an enemy BB is pushing up(attacks every 15-20 seconds 10 k salvo if 3 torps hit)
@@ultravires7747 Radar is a thing, but remember that means that cruiser radaring him is also out in the open to be shot if the BB is running the outside map edge.

These map guides are so good. Especially the specific suggestions by ship class.
GOD thank you for making this guide i hate this map so much as a bb main
These map guides are absolutely incredible thank you for this knowledge master
@Potato Quality: what is the software or website you use to put ships on maps and test radar range ???

Thank you. These map "tutorials" are highly detailed and full of information. Very helpfull, more please.
Many thanks for this map. Maybe Okinawa as the next guide? It's another pain in the arse :P
This was heavily requested in the previous one just as you said. Thanks for sharing PQ ;)
Why do I look at these islands and think would the village survive a tsunami.
Foreshadowing
No need to be a unicorn, I'm quite happy being a good potato

Great commentary - thanks. Does Epicentre change this much?
More of this please!
good work nice discription. keep it up
I would love to see sleeping giant
Ah yes, tears of the cruisers as Aerroon always said.
Lots fewer tears after they changed the islands and spawn points. Thank god. Because it was truly awful.
Keep them coming lol but seriously these are really useful
Italian smoke BBs can be used to push to islands in corners.
@@ultravires7747 It will be very hard to position radar to spot BB moving in smoke behind cap
Ah yes, tiers of the cruiser. Long time "back to port" upon spawn, until rework.
What program are you using when displaying the map position graphics?

Imagine the new Italian BB's.... they're just going to freely smoke to that island position ?

I love this map (also I like your content)
dds tend to murder the flanking bbs though...
Love the vids wish you had a discord so we could connect and build a community around you
You know there's a problem with someone's understanding of climatology when you have desert hills as islands.
I am missing other cap variations in you analysis. Like ranked maps.
Tears of Dessert epicenter, a nightmare because no one goin mid, all people snipe
Maybe check out Northern waters ranked set up
Talking whether or not the 8 line push is worth while
This game is all about crossfire and line hold
where is the free move? This is a trap for all players! Stop tactic! This is useless!
