  • Michele Marques was born in Brazil, but Portugal has been her home for many years. She fell in love with the Alentejo and the region’s cuisine, and with help from friends and some "aunties" close to her heart, she learned the real secrets of Alentejo food. Mercearia Gadanha, in Estremoz, is proof of how well she learned her lesson.
