I flew there to see her in person. I married that beautiful lady and had 2 weeks before returning to USA. Slow down summer was this song now reminded me of us. I flew back to her country 1 month later. Gave up my 16 years job then I lived with her for 1 year in the Philippines. I missed her so much! She got pregnant and we named our child after our names together, she then flew here 8 months after my 1 year stay in the Philippines. She gave birth here in USA. We have this amazing beautiful little girl named Jessalyn. Our story still continues, we are heading back to her country soon. Pick up where we left off after my 1 year stay. Sean - I understand the battle that you've fought, maybe still fighting, life is b*#%# to put it mildly. I'm very thankful that you've found at least some happiness and peace in music, it (and books and writing as well) has always been my saving grace for many reasons. I'm a singer, been singing since I learned how to talk but also a writer (wrote a full length 450 page novel based loosely on my abusive childhood), a mom to five grown children (figuratively AND literally lol), memaw to 8 grandkids with another on the way and wife for closing in on 40 years now (I was 15, he was 19 when we met). This life I've lead has had many, many ups and downs, so many things thrown at us from every angle and all at the same time. Over the years, here and there, it would just be so overwhelming that I considered just checking myself out of life - so I get it. But dude, it really is a long term solution for short term problems. There's happiness around you all the time, people that love you, so many people that you probably don't even know. Look at me responding to you - a stranger probably on the other side of the country. People care and believe this - there are people who WANT to help you, who WILL help you, who will be that lifeline when you feel like you're falling or drowning- there are people who will jump in head first to save you. So, look around you, FIND happiness wherever you can (no, I don't mean in booze or drugs - no happiness there at all!!). When you find it, grab it with all your might and don't let go. Most importantly, when you're at your lowest - reach out to someone, anyone because I'm here to tell you that YOU make this world a better place. Stay safe and God bless.

Man, this song means so much to me, and it takes me back to when I was 18 when I spent the summer with my parents at a lake park called Coles Point in Ontario Canada. Arnie was his name and we fell head over heals. We were inseparable, and dreaded the summer days would come to and end.
