When I was a little girl, my parents blasted this song so loud on the stereo, the glass windows would shake. I heard this album endlessly. I thought Michael Bolton was silly, and my parents loved him. They would cook dinner in the kitchen together, singing and drinking wine. My dad has been gone almost 5 years, and when I hear this song, it makes me feel a bittersweet joy. He loved my mom so much, and I bet he felt the same as the lyrics sung. Here's to you mom and dad, and thank you Michael Bolton for being the soundtrack to precious memories.

I lost my mom last week, she always loved it. I hated it then, listening now at 45 it makes me smile.
I have been a Michael Bolton fan since I was a teenager and remain one to this day. He has one of the most powerful, soulful voices and tremendous talent. These songs are about heartfelt love and you don't hear too many like them nowadays. Michael is a real talent, unlike many stars today who can't even sing.
