I didn't face any network issues during my time with the 7a (which was a little more than a month). The Pixel 7a felt like a better device overall, than the 6a. However, it did get pretty warm during my time with it. So, the Pixel devices with Tensor chips do get pretty warm/ hot, especially if we use 5G.
Try different charger, are you using cheap no brand charger? Its probably due to noise (output ripple) trow away this charger it can damage the battery charge controller inside the phone
In almost the last 1.5yrs that I've been using the 6a, smoothness has never been an issue. That is one thing I really love about Pixel devices. With Android 14, it has become wonderful! A few bugs I have encountered though, a video of which should be up this morning. 🤗

Hello there. The Pixel 7 didn't drop calls, atleast during my time with the device, which was a little over 1 month. However, I have felt, Pixels generally have weaker signal strength as compared to Samsung devices. Even my 4 yr. old M30s (Samsung) seem to have marginally better network connectivity as compared to my 1.5 yr. old Pixel 6a. However, I've faced zero issues w.r.t 4G/ 5G/ wifi speeds. ❤️

Hello ji, I am glad to learn, you are planning to get the 6a for uncle. Yes, during 5G usage, the 6a does get pretty warm. With Android 14, it has improved, but it still does get warm/ hot, depending also on the ambient temperature. Hello Bharath, I would still suggest getting the 7a, quite simply because of the fact that the 7a is the newer product of the two, which means, better performance, overall. However, if videos are your top priority, just know that Pixel's video quality is mediocre and only satisfactory if you plan to put those videos on social media.

I was roaming around with my pixel 6a in heavy rain and also did an under water video (check my channel). Then my phone got very cold and I got a warning that my usb port has liquid in it. Then what I did was, I started recording a 4k video on 60fps for 3 minutes and my phone got very hot and the recording stopped automatically and the usb issue was solved. (Moral: You can't record 4k video on 60fps on this phone for more than 3-5 minutes)
Does it get hot on 1080p 60fps too? I have no plans to record 4K at 60fps but 1080p at 60fps will be used every now and then. All other things are fine

I am using pixel 6a , and seen many comparison videos. For photography pixel 6a is much better than iphone 13 and in terms of video iphone is better but not significant difference , its only slightly better. I would say you get pixel 7/7a if price drops below 35k
Devesh ji, an iPhone 13 has better video performance for sure, and I've felt it myself. If you also wish to edit those videos in any way, the iPhone's 4k videos will hold themselves better. The video quality of the 6a is strictly mediocre. However, in still photos, both, the 6a and iPhone 13 perform brilliantly!
It should ideally be safe bscause the hardware of the Pixel 6a won't take anything more than 18W. I have been using an Oraimo adapter since day 1, but there are times when I also use a 25W Samsung charger and that works fine too..

Hello Naresh ji, the Pixel 7 Pro will make more sense for you, simply because it has a bigger & better display, bigger battery and better cameras (not sure if you would require those cameras in your professional usage). Heating has always been one of the issues of these Tensor powered Pixel devices (6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7a, 7, 7 Pro). However, with Android 14, the heating has decreased just a little. The Pixel 8 looks amazing, but is way too expensive for a Pixel device. For that kind of money, I would rather buy myself a S23 Ultra!

Agar aapne Pixel kabhi use nahin kiya hai, especially the software experience is something you would absolutely love. Par, aisa bhi sach hai ki agar aapko heating issue ka itna pata nahin hai, toh aapko kaafi surprise milega looking at how the Pixel 6a heats up, although Android 14 ke baad heating thoda sa (bahut thoda sa lekin) kum hua hai, par heating ek issue toh hai Pixel 6a ka.
Frankly, if camera (photography) is your priority, then, go for the 6a. However, the Phone 1 has a better screen refresh rate, which makes it feel much smoother in day to day use. However, with this Android 14 update, the heating issue of the 6a has been marginally better. Overall, the Phone 1 is nice but has mediocre camera performance.

I am from Nepal and the temperature is just a tad bit lower than Delhi's. I mostly use WIFI. I need a phone with good camera and with decent battery. I don't need a crazy long battery life, but overheating is something I can't deal with. Also, I livestream on Tiktok. Will this phone be suitable to me?
Hello, thank you for leaving this comment. Generally speaking, post Android 14, the 6a has become a much better device and for your requirements, it should be just fine. However, during the TikTok LIVE, I've a feeling, it might just get uncomfortably warm. You can perhaps look at the Pixel 7a?

Hello Naresh ji, the Pixel 7 Pro will make more sense for you, simply because it has a bigger & better display, bigger battery and better cameras (not sure if you would require those cameras in your professional usage).
Heating has always been one of the issues of these Tensor powered Pixel devices (6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7a, 7, 7 Pro). However, with Android 14, the heating has decreased just a little.
The Pixel 8 looks amazing, but is way too expensive for a Pixel device. For that kind of money, I would rather buy myself a S23 Ultra!

Hello ji. Neeche Jo link maine diya hai, uss pe jaake apne Pixel 6a ko "Opt Out" kijiye. Fir kuch der mein (say 1-2 hours or so) Pixel 6a ke Settings mein jaake update section check kariyega toh Android 14 ka stable & final update dikha dega. ❤️

Agar aapne Pixel kabhi use nahin kiya hai, especially the software experience is something you would absolutely love. Par, aisa bhi sach hai ki agar aapko heating issue ka itna pata nahin hai, toh aapko kaafi surprise milega looking at how the Pixel 6a heats up, although Android 14 ke baad heating thoda sa (bahut thoda sa lekin) kum hua hai, par heating ek issue toh hai Pixel 6a ka.
Bhai bohot heat hota hai, battery bkwas hai, slow charge,60hz refresh rate, sirf camera sahi hai.
Mai suggest karunga chhod de is phone ko

Frankly, if camera (photography) is your priority, then, go for the 6a. However, the Phone 1 has a better screen refresh rate, which makes it feel much smoother in day to day use.
However, with this Android 14 update, the heating issue of the 6a has been marginally better. Overall, the Phone 1 is nice but has mediocre camera performance.
