HI we bought our WOODCHUCK stove in 1982,,replaced grates 1 time,,both blowers are original,,buy 2 dump trucks of QAK,,per winter,,started with wood in 1977,,had a electric bill in 1976 over $100,00,,,,had a warm morning stove till 1982,,nothing like wood heat,,we live in zanesville ,,and love your videos,,Crip

Fantastic Video as always Joe. That is why I Retired back in 2016 from my Local School District. I was at far as I could go as Cleaner for them even though I Scored High on the Senior Head Custodian Test. So this way I can have plenty of Time to cut my Firewood. I do think after awhile, we all do need a Change. It's Great News for You and Chris, and have his son be Stacking Firewood for you. Anyone who has a Hardy wood boiler is a great person in my book. LOL!!
His stove is about the same age as mine. Finally after 22 seasons of burning I finally had to put a new set of grates in mine. The trick is to keep a couple inches of ash on them so the fire doesn't burn directly on the grates.

I would have bet Chris and LH Jesse were related. Nice to meet you Chris, my dad was an Algebra teacher in the 70's through the 90's just across the line here in Pa. and I remember he was ready to step away from it long before he was able to and the system has gotten even crazier since then. Next time I'm over Middlefield way I will stop in for a cup.
