That feeling when you've made it in Hollywood - Marisa Tomei had it years ago when Don Rickles insulted her at a party. In this episode of "Dinner with Don," the actress talks to Don about her career, from soap operas and strip clubs to playing Aunt May in "Spider-Man: Homecoming." Don shares a bit of his own filmography, including his turn as a gangster in "The Rat Race." "Dinner with Don" is a legacy series celebrating Don Rickles' life and career. It was produced by AARP Studios, Winbrook Entertainment and Stamper Lumber Company.

How did I stumble onto this? Rickles right before his death talking to Marisa Tomei.
I instantly thought of "My Cousin Vinny." She truly deserved an Oscar for her performance.
Now I gotta watch the rest of this Dinner with Don series.

I was an actor back in the day in LA ( Early 90's). I fell in love with her immediately after Vinny and her movie with Christian Slater and then Chaplin. Of course never had the opportunity to work with her....but I still love her heart. Best of every thing to her. Untamed Heart was the Christian Slater movie!....omg I absolutely fell for her "Doe Eyes". Amazing. :)

Hands down, the lovely Marisa Tomei is my favorite guest of Don "Mr. Warmth" Rickles. I feel privileged to have watched him on TV while during his prime roasting era of the 1970s, and beyond .i.e. Dirty Jobs. Two of the classiest people in Hollywood, together, at that time.

Another thing these 2 have in common is that they both hit the genetic jackpot. Don, for his perserverance and brilliance, he outlived his peers, working until 90, his body eventually gave out, but not his mind. Don, your life is an inspiration to me and to everyone.
And Marisa Tomei is a biological wonder. Her genes should be sent off to a lab to find out what's up with her. She's not normal. And also store some in a cryogenetic lab for a future utopian society.

I met Marisa Tomei about 20 years ago at an swap meet and antique show in Irvine in a way that had nothing to do with her celebrity. It's just so bizarre to me hearing her talk about her various experiences and seeing her in all these movies, on this show, etc. that somehow our completely different worlds, through some cosmic chain of events, intersected for that brief moment.

She gets more beautiful with age, I still remember her winning the Oscar for my cousin Vinny.
She's a terrific actress, and her simplicity gives her more genuine sex appeal than a stable full of other actresses who spend gobs of time in front of the mirror trying to look "sexy." But she should never have gotten the Oscar for my Cousin Vinny. An Oscar worthy performance should be much more challenging, and the character should be much more interesting - much more dimensional.
