Nice recipe ; however if we put Baking soda instead of Eno than this Kadhai Dhokla's color become an orange because of Baking soda. You don't need to add turmeric if adding Baking soda. From Toronto

Bhavnaji...when you heat the kadhai and pour oil...before adding rai and jeera..give the kadhai a swirl so that the oil coats the sides.this way when you pour the batter it will fall into a well greased pan...smoother dhokla.😊..

Nice recipe , but it is not Dhokalaa...Dhokalaa dish is "Steamed puffy " outcome! haah, it can be called upside down Handawo. Traditioanal Handawo is brown and crispy on the top while sides and the bottom of the dish is brown but softer compared to the top crust. Here, the bottom seems crispy brown and top is sort of like Dhokala sarface. BUT DEFINITELY it is not DHOKALA. heheh may be we can name it HAANDOKALA!!! :-D Anyways thanks for your efforts to make a newer version of dish and spent time making a video and posting it!
