Well tell that to the CTBUH and see what they think about that. Personally I agree with you there but these pricks want to count the toothpicks atop these buildings. They’ll count them if they’re part of the initial design and added to the building during construction and if a spire or antenna is added later on following a building’s completion, then it “doesn’t count.” Willis isn’t much taller than One World Trade but yeah to the roof and highest occupied floor it ranks higher. They clearly shouldve made the roof 1776 feet this way there would have never been a debate in the first place on which one is taller.

It’s still the tallest in America. Yes, even the new World Trade Center is not as tall.

@@boogitybear2283 The top 1/4 of One World Trade is all antenna unfortunately, but it’s still technically higher than Willis Tower’s antenna. Central Park Tower aka 225 W 57th Street actually holds the crown for highest roof and floor. Willis Tower is still the tallest office building and highest occupied floor in the country if you don’t count the antennas atop the rooftops.

@Islandvacation if you read my other comments, you would’ve seen that I agreed with you there. One World Trade is a joke. They had a chance to top the Willis Tower when the Twins were destroyed on 9/11 but held back and had to be all symbolic. Now, instead of two giants, we only have one. Total failure and it proves the terrorists won. Willis is the tallest office building in the western hemisphere but it’s not the tallest to the roof altogether as Central Park Tower dwarfed it by 100 feet. Wills Tower has the most vertical gross square footage behind the Pentagon and a few others of course.
