I am Jamaican, and much of what I hear African Americans complain about regarding Ghana, some of the these things are normal in many countries. There are places you will go in Jamaica and foreigners pay a different price. There are privileges that come with being a local that foreigners shouldn’t expect. Over time as that foreigner integrates into the community then they too will experience some of the same privileges. In the US students going to college out side of the state they live have to pay more tuition, the principal is the same. I think African Americans moving to Ghana may need to adjust their expectations and their mindset.
The problem is, (As I saw in Jamaica), the natives kiss white peoples azz and despise african americans. I thought I would be welcomed in Jamaica, as a black man, that shared the same ancestry. I was happy to be around people that looked like me but that wasn't the case in Jamaica. You are correct that African Americans need a reality check. Well, so much for unity.
Man get out of here with that locals pay different price mess. Going to college and paying different price is nt like going to a foreign country amd being exploited. This comes from a poverty, self-serving mentality and you only see it among black people. You dont see this happening in Thailand, Phillipines or any of those places. We love exploited each other while Asians and Indians come and exploit African territories right in the face of Africans. Its a poverty mentality that wants to raise prices on people because they don't live there. The entitled are those who think people shouldn't get upset about it. That's why no one wants to invest in these places.
I've been to Ghana 6 times in the past 5 years. Yes people ask for money at the airport but its like an equivalent of 10 dollars. I always pay in cedis. After that i experience nothing but love and joy. She just had a bad experience and is acting like a typical American, selfish and entitled. I'm coming back for Christmas this year and I'm super excited!!!

As a black person who was married to an African and who has known many of them, I wouldn’t suggest anyone black moving to West Africa. The cultural differences are too great…I do think the Ghanaian Government peddled the “back to Africa” scheme to exploit black Americans who are eager for a homeland…They know that not many black Americans travel abroad, and they sold them a pipe dream. Ghana and its people know how to hustle and scheme…That’s how they survive The only way to make Ghana work is to come with the expectations that you’re in an African country, and they’re not black like you. Preferably, come with a remote job where you can survive. Everything is expensive, and Ghana jobs pay pennies. Ghana is a 3rd world country, with 3rd world rules, folks.

I'd call it ignorance rather than foolishness. People in other parts of the world associate Americans with wealth because of how the country is portrayed in the international media.

@TheAfroMillennial True 👍🏾
Its irritating when " poor" ppl act like others don't work( ed) hard for the money. They keep asking, like its nothing. It makes you wonder why they don't have, if they think its so easy for others to get. ❤
They are spoiled rotten, don't pay them any attention.
its wrong n the govt must do something about these grievances. its not a misconception. soon, they will charge you cab fare based on what you look like. its wrong. the price is the price
Oh, they already do! The misconception is believing they don't like you because of that. They would do it to anybody who they believe they can get away with doing it to. And yes, these grievances should be addressed properly.

Well here in America this government charge the poor more then the rich just because black people can travel for a vacation or what ever doesn't means you are rich that's foolish thanking
I'd call it ignorance rather than foolishness. People in other parts of the world associate Americans with wealth because of how the country is portrayed in the international media.
What is the name of that Af- Amer woman talking, she has a lot of knowledge,I hear she has a y/ tube channel???
Seems to me that all sides are at fault. 1. The Ghanaian government didn't think their own program through. There were deceitful reasons why african americans were invited in. 2. The ppl were not informed and prepared for the return program.
3. African americans expected a lot more than what even the Ghanians get from their own gov.
Agree
This woman is sick
Americans stay in the country you built
They do with the guy yesterday. They do it to all of us 😅
They are part of the 83.
i dont care who begging im saying HELL NO cant force me to do it im down to od whatever if the person dont like the fact that im not giving them money, they will learn the hard way. if theres no consideration for me i will return the energy, they gotta stop thinkin black people dont struggle in america, and charging a "foreigner" more the same thing is bad business cus do ghanains get charged extra for being in USA?? this is exactly why ghana is and will be recolonozed... NO STRUCTURE
Well, international students do get charged more for education in the US. And you have the right to refuse to give tips when asked.
Why would you think they would like you we are difrent people we are from israel we are shem some of them are ham we shall sujern in the land of our captive so said the lord until he regather us we can't escape this fate
The content creator have no idea who we are, yes still asleep most of us are...yet the prophecy are being fulfill Gen ch 15 v 13
The same religion and book you got this idea from, was forced upon your ancestors during slavery, but somehow you guys think you're woke. When are you going to be wise?
@@forbruzz2551who told you about Genesis if not the white man? You guys are still brainwashed. Mental slavery is real
Lol
Lawd🤣🤣 you're wrong. Ham is most on the east of Africa, the West are genetically Hebrew. The circumcise on the 8th day, name their kids on the 8th. Do dowry aka bridal price, knocking ceremony. They are closer to the truth purely on their culture.
Sounds like gana is scamming.... false advertisement.... (return home) if someone invited me to return home and I move there then im a local..... you don't see the scam in your face they looking for a payday the wrong way
If you were the leader of a country, would you accept someone as a citizen without doing the necessary background checks? If no, then how would you afford to find out all you can about the person if your country were to be a low to middle income one? And remember you would be doing it for thousands of people too.
@@TheAfroMillennial makes no sense.... if that's how it is... then it is a lie to say return home...... not home.... background check.... I laugh at you 😆 🤣 😂 😘 😄
