Домский собор, он же собор святого Николая, имеет погребальные капеллы, или часовни, в которых находятся саркофаги любекских епископов. Одним из этих епископов был Кристиан Август Гольштейн-Готторпский, который оказался дедом российской императрицы Екатерины Второй и предком четырех королей Швеции.
